you should try this restaurant, apart from being amused by the somewhat eccentric Frederic, the food is fabulous. I can recommend the lambs cheeks, when I tried them they were cooked beautifully with great depth of flavour.

Had one very good meal while staying at the hotel, would like to return, and will. The restaurant is quite charming, can hold a nice group, along with larger tables for families. We sat off nearer to the fireplace at a table for two, enjoyed it so much. So while in this area do go there, you'll be happy.

First we would like to thank Fredric for feeding us very well and being a great person. We stayed in a little “B&B” across from “d'Alibert ”, so the first night we went was just a convenience. But we enjoyed our food and atmosphere so much that we decided to go to “d'Alibert ” a second night which we rarely do. The dinner menu is preset and has enough choices for everyone. The food is very fresh and tasty. Fredric suggests the wine for food choices and he is always right. He is very knowledgeable person and has a great sense of humor, which helped that he is fluent in English.
Fredric advised us what restaurants to visit at out next travel destinations, and we were never disappointed.
Thank you very much Fredric!

D'aliberts is just asuperb restaurant, set in old monastic buildings near the abbey. Frederic, the patron, is charming and highly entertaining. The food is excellent, the wines reasonably priced, and the menu interestingly cryptic - but Freddie will explain it all in english or french. Great experience

My wife and I dined here on September 13th. Definitely come with an appetite as the food very well prepared regional food. I had the squid in ink, which was incredibly tender and delicious followed by the cassoulet which was excellent. My wife had the entrecôte which she said was excellent. The dinner menu was 3 courses for 27 Euros each. It was very good value. The wine list has some excellent and reasonable wines of the surrounding area. Make reservations as the restaurant seems to be a place for locals and everyone seemed to know each other. Frederic, the owner of the hotel and restaurant takes all the orders and serves the meals to the table. He's very much a part of the ambiance. This restaurant is within a 550 year old building which houses the hotel and restaurant and has been in the Frederic's family for 100 years. Well worth a visit and a repeat visit.
