Very nice place, with an incredible location in the jungle!!
Our room was facing the jungle and the view from our terrace was really incredible!
For 160myr we slept in a huge room with a double bed for us, a single one for our 3 years old one and even a lovely babycot for our youngest.
The food is good and in the price you have the free transport to sepilok rehabilitation center twice a day.

we arrived here via the Paganakan dil hotel in Sandakan see separate review (recommended)
Very high standard of accom if you go for the more expensive chalets though the other shared acomm looked O.K. these chalets perched above the steaming jungle (it had just rained. surprise ! surprise !) are testiment to what can be on offer to the mid budget range traveller. we were only 2 persons but the chalet had a large double and a set of bunks as well so close friends or a family could take advantage of the extra beds. clean fresh sheets and a blanket? were supplied, bring your own padlock. the open to the sky bathrooms were large clean with a bowl to do some laundry though the resort we do at a good price .Just up the road from the sepilok orang utan centre with a free shuttle bus to and fro. Good food and cheapish drink.
What about the crocs !? do yourself a favour and take a walk down the hill in some buildings on the right by the lake take a peek did they get these beats out of the lake ?not a question to ask yourself at night . .

Room Tip: As stated go for the upmarket option

I stayed there for 5 nights in middle of April, First when I saw my room I was a bit chocked:-) - the were some gaps between sliding doors and floor, big enough for some spiders, rats and etc. But during my stay no one came to visit me:-)
The room very simple, shower and wc outside - so you feel really like a part of the nature. No traffic, no noise (except from jungles - that was like a meditation music), fresh air, green forest in front of you. From other side the rooms has everything you need for comfortable stay - good mattress for nice sleep, AC if you feel hot...
Convenient location if you want to visit Sepilok Orangutan centrer and Labuk Bay for Proboscis monkeys. Free shuttle to Sepilok, 35 RM to Labuk Bay.
Also staff can help you arrange river cruise - for one day or longer.
Food ok, a bit small portions but I was on never ending diet:-)
Staff friendly and helpful, my flight was delayed, I arrived late at night - they send the taxi for me!
You can ask to do laundry for you - thats cheap and really good!
Need to bring all by yourself - soap, shower gel etc.
I visited some resorts around Sepilok - and I was happy with my choice! The ratio priceand quality was the best!!! I would highly recommend this place to nice, not snobby people, that not afraid to have shower outside, who enjoys green jungles view from their room and who wants to see MONKEYS!

Room Tip: I stayed in stilt ridge duplex. Nice but you will hear your neighbors very good!

Excellent place to stay. It is the nicest hostel I have stayed in. Great location in the middle of the Borneo jungle. Staff really friendly and helpful. Our room was great, with clean white sheets and great shower and toilet facilities.

This is for sure THE location I will mainly remember from Borneo !
The place is very nice, in the middle of the nature, the staff is really nice and always helpful, free shuttle to the main areas.
Of course, if you like 5 stars hôtels, you will be disappointed ! But if you like observing the nature, taking care of the environment while having a minimum of comfort, this place is for you !
I strongly recommend it !

The location is Amaizing, the room are fantastic with super view (we got the duplex delux, which is not expensive for what you get). The food is very good (and everyday with nice options if you are vegetarian). I guess the best part was the staff, always helpfull and with a big smile!
100% RECOMENDED!

We stayed here in Feb 2013. Having taken the bus from KK. we were collected from Sepilok Roundabout by the staff, taken back to this little Oasis in the Rainforest. Only small, but the people are lovely. they run a free shuttle to and from Sepilok Orang utan sanctuary. they will also arrange other trips. Labuk Probiscus monkey sanctuary not too far away either.
Rooms were fantastic, overlooking the valley. The dorm looked great too,and much cheaper. you have to order evening meal in the morning, small selection, but lovely. Breakfast included, basic but OK
