Positives:
Adjacent to a secondary jungle trail. Cabins have real wood panelling, rustic feel. Somewhat effective A/C. Decent price.
Negatives:
Tiny cabins. No fridge, closet, TV, soundproofing, D&D sign/s, nor blackout shades. Bathroom only vented- not glass window. Shower connected to toilet area- entire bathroom floods when bathing. No warnings given- as to current state of property renovation; noisy from early AM onwards. In-room wifi doesn't work at all, internet reception spotty.
Goat grazing area & bovine enclosure are quaint- but adjoining moats are fetid mosquito breeding grounds.
You are required to remove footwear- when entering al-fresco check-in/dining area.
Nosy, inhospitable manager lady only interested in getting her money- not in guests' comfort.
Parking is generously gratis- if your car makes it up the rough dirt track.
Close to the open air- orangutan park.
Bring lots of insect repellant, & reading matter.

As a single traveller, it's great when you come across a place that offers dorm beds, combined with a jacuzzi, great food and close proximity to the attractions.

It's a very neat and pretty place with and open plan dining area which is beautiful at night time.Id say this is one of those few places which would be great for couples and solo travellers alike. Pretty good value for the price.

Walking distance to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre. Spacious grounds, with a jungle trail on the boundary. Be careful of the leeches on the jungle walk. Very friendly and helpful staff. B&B, or chalets available. Provided a mattress in one of the larger chalets (Agnes Keith chalet) to fit our family of four.

We comfortably fitted 2 adults and 2 kids into a standard chalet, which made for great value accommodation. The room was clean and cool, though a few gaps in the wals and floor let in the mosquitos. The resort grounds are well kept, if a bit large and hilly for tired little legs. The pool is very small & shallow, but it was clean and pleasant. Some new furniture and umbrellas would be nice.
I agree with previous reviewers that the service in the restaurant is slow and confused. Half the menu seemed to be unavailable. We didn't have a meal without missing ordered items, or being offered someone else's food.
Overall a good base for the Orangutan and rainforest discovery centres.

What a great place to stay! We had the chalet that sleeps 5 which was very reasonable in price, comfortable and felt secluded enough from the other chalets. The whole resort has a lovely ambience and is set in beautiful grounds. The staff are helpful and friendly, the restaurant serves fantastic food and the location is perfect for the orang-utan sanctuary. If you are heading to Sepilok, stay here!

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be in their own space and are quiet but the chalet for 5 people was lovely an spacious and a great place to stay
