Jan and Malcolm run this classic English Pub in the equally classic English village of Shrewton, Wiltshire. We enjoyed their hospitality on a number of occasions while exploring Wiltshire. The food was very good (Malcolm is the cook) and the atmosphere was very cosy. We met and talked with some interesting folks; some local like the other Pub owner in town, and some from other parts of England who were there for the Summer Solstice Festival at Stonehenge. The prices--nothing in England is cheap--were in line with every other similar establishment we visited in Salisbury, Bath, and Stratford-upon-Avon with a well-stocked bar and good brews on tap. It's also the closest public house to Stonehenge--about 4 miles away--and a welcome end to a good hike.
