I have been to this place before and after the renovation and all I can say it's that it's the only place in the world that I liked before and after. And if you read a bit about the history of the place it's even better

we went there for the kids, stayed in Milexim ( which was a good place, best food, little inside pool). We could play a lot inside the salt mine, the view is incredible. We walked the whole way down and was not that difficult. We had a boat, on the lake inside the salt mine. All in all, I would surely go again.

The salt mine in Turda is now a veritable history museum of salt mining. The excellent state of preservation of mining and machinery used to transport salt, together with the cautious work carried out for prepararing the mine to become a tourist attraction, have made history and legend meet harmoniously here. The increasing number of tourists arriving from distant geographical areas to visit the mine are a confirmation of interest and historical value

Been twice really unusual. Meant to have health benefits. Good to go exercise with climbing and play ping pong. Good 3 hours out.

One of the places you have to visit in Transylvania !Being on the surface nothing prepares you for that unexpected huge place .We used the old entrance with the long corridor. The signs on the walls guided us through the whole gallery. Really breathtaking height! We decided to use the lift and to have a very quick view of the mine on the way down.Well organised place to spend the whole day with family, friends, children, playing mini golf,ping-pong,billiard.There is a small lake which you can visit by the small boats You can see and touch the salt all over.Amazing feelings, nice time, special sessions with salt.
Highly recommended!
