Was there to visit Stalag Luft III and pay my respects to my uncle and not for a leisure break. Room very odd with tiny window, dim lighting and a dribble for a shower. Breakfast had some odd items (beware warm milk on the cornflakes!) and UHT milk for the tea. Menu interesting with some peculiar variations. Don't suggest trying any of the Polish dishes .... they seem to like soggy cauliflower and broccoli even on pizza! As others have said, also beware the Polish wedding. Goes on all night with incredibly loud music. Take ear plugs. Also continues on the Sunday. Don't order lunch there on a Sunday, they were so busy with the wedding that our lunch still hadn't arrived after an hour. But they will prepare cheese rolls if you ask - much quicker! The town isn't much but the train station is worth seeing, that's where the Great Escapers escaped from and it hasn't changed since then.
