We had a wonderful holiday at The Melinda. Gayle and Adonis made us very welcome and kept our secret as we were surprising my in-laws by arriving on their 3rd week with the grandchildren! Our spacious 2 bed ground floor apartment was spotless and provided everything we needed for a self- catered holiday. We liked relaxing at the safe pool and enjoyed many nice drinks, snacks and meals in the pool bar. Really recommend the Greek night!
Only a short walk from groceries, restaurants and the promenade. There's a fruit and veg store right next door too.
We had a fantastic day out at the waterpark, coming to the end if the season it was nice and quiet so no queues.
Booked for Oct this year, annoying the in-laws on their hol again lol! Only downside is flights from Scotland stop in September so having to fly from Newcastle this time.

Had a lovely holiday here,a family run establishment where you are made to feel extremely welcome and like part of the family Adonis,George & Gale are all lovely people and nothing seems too much trouble.it is lovely and clean and the pool and gardens are beautiful.the rooms are really nice and the only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars was having to share a balcony which was a bit annoying but in no way spoilt what was a great holiday.i would highly recommend and hopefully will also return there again.

My boyfriend & I stayed here end of July-beginning of August 2012 & came home & booked again for the same time 2013! We both wanted a relaxing break that wasn't going to cost the earth & had some warm weather. I had previously been to Greece so had an idea what to expect & had prepared my other half. Can't say I was disappointed! The owners were lovely & we were put into 1 of the bungalows. Everything was clean & the cleaner was lovely & would chat with us when we bumped into her. We rented a fan from the bar at a reasonable price. The swimming pool is warm enough to not get a shock when you go in but cool enough to have a dip in if the sun gets to hot. The pool bar is well stocked & we had lunch there each day. Crossing over the main road from the apartments takes you into a sea of bars, restaurants & shops. There's a mini supermarket over the road as well. We ate well every night & found a lovely hotel bar opposite the beach thar was screening the olympics if you wanted to watch or you could just watch the sun go down & speak to some of the locals. The owners gave us a happy farewell as a big group of us left. I went home happy, relaxed & straight back to work & then rain wishing I was back there again :-)

Fantasic clean accommodation, perfect location. I could not fault one thing! Well maintain gardens. There is a little bar on site serving everything you need. The food is wonderfull.

Gail and het lovely family who own the Melinda has created something very special! It really is a little Gem!

Roda itself is still typically greek. There are lots of resturants, and music bars. Greek dancing is a must see!

The beach in Roda is lovely. The water is shallow, so perfect for children. There are lots of excursions that can be booked from Roda, such as Aqualand, the water park, Horse Riding, and several boat trips.

The cost of living in Roda is very cheap. A pint of larger is 1.5 euros and a glass of wine is just 2 euros. The food ranges from 5 euros for say a pasta dish in the restaurants, up to 12 euros for a steak! There are lots of super markets which are very reasonabley priced, perfect if you are self catering!

I travel as a party of 2adults and 2 children aged 11&14. We have a 2 bed apartment which was the perfect size for us, it came equip with everything we required even a showever curtain, bath mat and tea towel! you can tell that the lady that owns the Melinda is english!

I would highly recommend the Melinda, it truley is faultless. I will definatley be returning to Roda.

What a little gem, especially geared up for families as very child friendly but also good for couples. Eight of us stayed and enjoyed the company of Adonis, Gail, George and nikos who own/run the apartments. Apartments are typical of Greece....if you want total luxury then book a 5 Star or don't come to Greece!! Saying that we had good, hot showers and a fully equipped kitchen although didn't have to use it. No air con but fans available. Bring mozzie repellant! The pool is fab and really needed in the hot July weather. Food at the Miranda is also good and very well priced as is the bar.
Roda beach is lovely, sandy beach and lots of places to eat. Not too commercial and the people are lovely. We hired quads (get George to book it) and went across country, over the mountains which was the highlight of our holiday. Aqua park great fun, we booked direct and didn't use any services from thomas cook as vastly overpriced. Also did costs horse riding which was ok although staff surly and ride a tad boring... Recommend a trip to other beaches although avoid the fruit seller on the beach - was charged 25 euro's for a handful of fruit!!!!! I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Great pool and snack bar area.
Roda is a 2 minute walk, with plenty of shops, bars and beach.

Pool snack bar serves all sorts of food and I found the trick is to ask when the family have homemade food cooked. Best Greek food you'll have as it is made by Adonis and George's mum, Maria.
