This is a great small hotel. The room was very clean and had a warm welcoming feeling from the moment we stepped inside. Anne is most helpful and was there to answer all the questions we had. We have visited Orient Bay before but this was the first time we have stayed there. The beach, restaurants and the grocery store are so convenient so no worries about driving and parking. The shower was a little colder the we are accustomed to but after a couple days we didn't mind at all. We can't think of anything that we would change that could improve our stay. We are already planning a return stay next year.

We read a lot of reviews of Palm Court, and decided over-all it sounded like just what we were looking for. It was and is. The rooms are large and clean, if basic. The bed was on the hard side but more than comfortable. Television was more than expected after reading some reviews, as there were plenty of English language channels. Breakfast was far more than adequate and service was wonderful. Anne is a top notch manager, always ready to help if you need it. The beach is no more than a 5 minute walk, with some absolutely phenomenal restaurants as well as great beach bars all close by. The newly opened Petit Casino grocery provided us fresh baguettes, cheese and wine for relaxing dinners in our room when we didn't feel like going out again. At no time did we feel unsafe. We plan to go back to St. Martin and Palm Court, and would recommend same to our friends. Overall, a most relaxing, enjoyable, care-free vacation.

Had a wonderful two days there at the Palm Court. Two blocks off the beach but a great location. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance so you do not miss not being on the beach.

Beds need to be replaced; only a few of the TV channels worked; and the rooms needed some attention Also, it is somewhat inconvient not having a front desk staffed from 7:00 am til 6:00pm.

Room Tip: Arrive when the front desk is open.

We generally visit St Martin annually now, always staying in Orient Bay. We used to stay in Cap Caribes, but felt it had declined (glad to see new ownership or management seems to be upgrading it again). Several years ago we tried Palm Court and have never looked back at any other property. The rooms are clean and bright. The location is very close to the beach. The free chairs and umbrellas at Waikiki Beach - and the ability to charge food and drinks to our room - make our desire for a leisurely beach week the best. The staff has always been great from making the hotel reservations, to assisting with restaurant reservations in Grand Case, arranging taxis, providing advice on activities, etc. We were glad to see several of the beach clubs are or have undergone renovations (including Waikiki) and updating. The new restaurant, Yellow Sub, is a good addition to the village eateries. Hopefully when we visit again next February, the local market/grocery store will be opened. We love Palm Court and Orient Bay and will be back again as soon as we can to enjoy the hotel, breakfasts, and great people.

Room Tip: We like the second or third room floors only to get a little better view. All the rooms we have sta...

This was our 15th trip to St. Martin and we never tire of it's beauty and people. We have stayed on both the French and the Dutch sides with family and friends but when it is just my husband and myself we prefer the French side. We had a terrible yr. personally and this time we just wanted to relax.

We had not stayed at Palm Court before but have stayed all around it. The office was closed when we arrived but there is a buzzer at the gate that connects you with the manager who gives you the code to get in and gave us our room number. We had requested a 2nd floor room but were put on the ground floor. A little disappointed at first but we really enjoyed our patio with all the foliage and the hammock as well. The reason for my request was that my husband snores and I thought I could always retreat to the balcony if I needed to!

We had groceries delivered to our room (Shop n Drop) so no need to go to the store. They have a coffee pot and fridge which is all we needed. Bed was a little hard for us but we slept fine and the pillows were wonderful as was the maid service. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 is only because the furnishings are a bit worn. Didn't bother us but heads up for those that expect more.

The manager was great. Always had a smile and so were the servers at breakfast. We really enjoyed that each morning, meeting the other guests from all over the world. The continental breakfast was all we needed and included boiled eggs, fruit, cereal, bread, croissants, juice and coffee, but you could order more for a nominal fee.

The grounds were wonderful and well maintained. There is a resident dog on the property who is adorable and followed us to the beach one day. Several cats as well. All-in-all we would definitely go back.

The rooms are big, clean and beautifully decorated (cooking is not allowed in the room, just the use of the microwave).
The pool area is very charming, and can be used any time of the day. The breakfast is served until 10h30 and it is average, not much to choose from.
The hotel is just a 2 mim walk from the great Orient Bay beach, and the beach chairs are free of charge for hotel guests. You can also have a very professional 1h massage in a charming hut right on the beach (Waikiki beach bar) for 80$US.
The reception only works from 9h to 19h, but they are always reachable by dialing "9". Ask them for car rental, tour, etc...they will help and do most of the work for you.
The WIFI is free of charge, but not always working at 100% (room 6 with iphone 4S).
On your way to the beach, and just before reaching it, in your right, you will find a patio with a lot of very good restaurants...try the Tuna Steak at Le Piment!!

Room Tip: If you stay in one of the ground floor rooms, the pool will by just 3 steps way.

Orient bay is a nice beach with great sun and warm water. Palm court is nicely located close to restaurants and a very short walk to the beaches. Very nice people great service and a nice continental breakfast included. The price is great. Definitely ask for a second or third story room as first floor rooms are too close to the pool and other people. There is an efficiency kitchen and you should get alcohol and snacks at the orient bay beach resort shop.... But be warned that that place is a nudist hotel. In fact, the whole orient bay beach area are clothing optional. Nothing wrong with that at all but nice to be aware of that. Overall palm court was a great place to stay!
