Tiny village, very few resturants. I can't believe that this is ranked #2 in Taull...it's number one in my opinion. We read the Trip Advisor comments and ordered exactly what they had and I think that they understated the tastey meal. My wife had balsmic ice cream, which was great! The cutomers were from the United Nations (not really), but from all over the world. Couldn't have been happier at a Michealin 5 star.

After a long hike in the park, we stopped here for dinner. Everything we ate was delicious. We had local goat cheese and salad as an appetizer. Then I had duck confit and my boyfriend had steak, both of which were tender and amazing. We ended with the house made ice cream with really unique flavors, like strawberry-balsamic and thyme. Everything we ate was out of this world! I highly recommend this place.

We sat in the lush garden of a really old village house, an incredible view of the mountains on one side and an ancient Romanic church on the other. We enjoyed some good beer and an excellent snack... perfect!

It was Sunday night and all the other suggested restaurants were close and we found Mallador by chance, it´s right next to the Roman church. We wondered in and we didn´t expect much of the place but we probably got one of the best meals we´ve had in Catalonia. The waiter spoke perfect English and was happy to talk about the source of our food.
We had their homemade pate, handmade sausage made by a local lady (botifarra) making it in a traditional way, three very unique tasting icecream (thyme, raspberry/balsmic vinegar, walnut/local liquor, Ratafia) and we finished up with a shot of Ratafia each, that is made in a local village. Our night turned out to be an amazing culinary experience.
I can really recommend this place for everybody.
