On a busy Sunday in Calella most of the seafront bars and restaurants were full so we ventured slightly away from the sea, saw Spanish people in Ca La Raquel and stumbled in.
The welcome was warm, friendly and efficient.
We chose a mixture of tapas from the main menu and from the specials board - our dishes included squid, cod croquettes, superb anchovies and rabbit.
Great value with wine, breads and water for under 30 euros for two
Not quite a hidden gem but well worth a visit.
