It was $30/ person/ night, including all three meals. Rooms are quite simple with cold saltwater in the showers. Each room has a hammock on the porch, which was quite nice. The hotel is on the beach and there is great snorkeling a few metres away. The hotel also sent a friendly staff member in the water with us at no charge for an hour, who pointed out various fish and coral on the reef. That was extremely helpful, especially since this was only my second time snorkeling and I was a little nervous

Food was excellent and they were very accommodating when I told them I'm vegetarian. However, they have a communal table where all the guests eat together. That was nice at first but it got boring soon (my bf and I would have preferred to dine by ourselves sometimes too)

This hotel reminds me something like the far end of the world.
It was magic of situation and people.

We have met all the people and all were interresting. Customers and staff.
It is no a normal place. Only special people go there.
But this is linked more to the location of Bunaken Island that is difficult to reach.

You must know that hotels on such Islands in Indonesia do not often offer warm water, wide choice of self-service food etc.
Considering this, this hotel is perfect for what we there for : the sea ;o)

Price is ok, rooms are ok, people are nice (service and customer). Nature is incredible.
In-cre-di-ble.
I love snorkeling... And this will be my reference for a long time !!
I wish I ignore Bunaken underworld... Even Kenya or Cuba looks poor now ;o(
But since you are there... now this : There is nothing on earth that is cheaper, easier and more beautiful to see than the coral and fish around bunaken.

We enjoyed a lot, the little bungalow on the beach with it's terrace and hamack the beautifull view, great snorkeling just in front and perfect diving sites all around the island.
The diving instructor Ken was really amazing, showed us a lot of interesting sealife. The excellent state of the scuba gear is also to be mentioned.
Super staff and really good Indonesian food.

We stayed for a more than a week at the Bunaken Beach resort in the family room and we had a great time there. The staff is very friendly with special care for our children and the fact that one of them had his birthday. We felt really at home.
Our room was very spacious with four beds and a possibility for a fifth. The garden bungalows and rooms have three beds, the beach bungalows two. In the bungalows you can get A.C. All rooms have a hammock and a fan on the veranda. The food was great, not just the basic but with a little extra every day like a pancake with breakfast next to the bread or a snack in the afternoon. And the resort is on a beautiful spot on the island. There's a lot of mangrove, but the Bunaken Beach resort has a clear view at the sea with great coral just in front of the door. In short, a great place to be for a short or longer periode of time.

Nice Resort with friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere.
Stayed 7 nights in a nice clean garden bungalow, 3 good meals a day and an afternoon snack. Did 10 dives at different sites around Bunaken, beautiful fish, coral, turtel, etc.... Good and friendly divemaster Alo.
Great snorkelling in front of the resort.
Quick email response.

We have so many good things to say about BBR! The staff is awesome--friendly, attentive, warm, and welcoming. We truly felt like part of a family. The grounds are lovely, the food is yummy, and the buildings are well constructed. The beachfront bungalows are beautiful from the outside, but a bit spartan on the inside. Clean though! The dive shop is fantastic, too--brand-new rental equipment, roomy boat, and most important, an eagle-eyed dive guide named Alo. We wished we could take Alo with us to be our DM for all our diving in Indonesia. He is an incredible spotter (we're talking seahorses less than 1 cm long), reads and responds to currents well, and is just a great person. BBR is fairly new so it hasn't hit all the major guidebooks yet. Take the opportunity and book there before word spreads too far and the prices go up!!

The only thing that remotely bugged us at BBR was that they pinpoint a euro-rupee exchange rate that worked against us. We paid a good $50US premium/commission because we hadn't brought euros with us.

We would return to Bunaken Beach Resort without hesitation, and it's highly possible we will.

We stayed there for 3 days to go diving around Bunaken. The place is pretty much brand new with nice little bungalows right at a small beach. The bungalows are airconbditioned, spacous, clean and the beds comfortable. We stayed in one of the cheaper bungalows and had only a cold shower, but at those temperatures that was just alright. There is some excellent snorkelling right at the beach or you can just relax in the deckchairs or hammocks and enjoy the peace and quiet here. 3 meals per day with plenty of delicious food were served. The staff was very, very friendly, helpful and attentive. The diving was absolutely amazing with very knowledgable and super helpful crew and divermaster and excellent brand-new equipment. It's only a few minutes walk away from other resorts in the area and we think this place was the best. For sure best value for money! No internet (yet?) but you can use the computers at neaby Two Fish resort.
