“Enjoy Living Colours, Bunaken”
Reviewed August 3, 2008

Living Colours Diving Resort, all in all only good things to say, but maybe i should share little bit more. I was there one year ago and did the open water course. i spent 15 nights and i was totally stoked.

this summer i went back to LC to do advanced course, it felt allmost like coming back to home. Diving is so amazing around Bunaken island LC dive team is one of the kind. I have learned so much and spent fatastic times there. Water temperarture is around 30 celsius and wisibilyty is stunning! Coral reefs are in a good condition, macro life is very rich. wall dives makes you feel like luckiest man in a world.

Bungalows are comfortable and with a good vibes. Lying in a hammock in big terrace is dream come true. Food in LC is tasty and fresh, i am vegetarian and i`ll have to say i allready miss Pumpkin Curry, all the tofu and tempeh setts. also fish and meat is mind blowing, thats what i heard.

i highly recomend Living Colours resort people of all ages, beginners and professionals.

You are in a good hands, ENJOY!

We had planned on staying at Living Colours Resort for 6 days but made the decision to leave after 2 days.
Upon arriving at the resort, we were 2 hrs late because the other resort we were staying at were late transporting us back to Manado. When we arrived at Living Colours, the owner Jacob greeted us. He told us he was waiting over two hours for us and we told him why we were late. He then told us, that whatever happened at the other resorts, he did not want to hear and stuck his fingers in his ears. I was insulted.

We got Bungalow 3 which was a really nice bungalow. It has a new deck and a newly installed water heater which only worked on day 2. Running water provided is salt water and not fresh water.

We were unhappy at Living Colours and decided to leave because there was construction on a new deck going on next to us and it was very noisy. The first night we spent on the resort, the construction workers arrived at night and the many stray dogs which live on the resort were barking all night. I got no sleep. The next morning, I thought I could get some sleep but that didn't happen with the construction and banging going on next door.

The construction began at 8am and didn't end until dusk. When we got back from out morning dives at 1pm, all we wanted to do was relax on the big deck but we couldn't. The workers were constantly staring at us and it made us very uncomfortable. I feel like Living Colours did not care about our comfort.

On my first night, I saw a rat scurrying past in the kitchen. The strays all have sores and wounds and they sleep in the restaurant.

I have to say though that Mia, the lady who organized the trip for us, was very helpful. Prior to our arrival, I had many questions for her and she was very helpful. It just didn't work out for us with the construction.

  • Liked — Beautiful Bungalows. Nice furniture.
  • Disliked — Salt water to shower in. Very low water pressure
