“Beautiful weekend trek from Bangalore”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Joined Bangalore Mountaineering Club on a weekend trip from Bangalore to Pushpagiri. We left at night on a Friday, drove through the night and started the trek through the forest in the morning. At lunch we stopped at the only secluded farm about, then headed to the peak, to return to the farm for dinner and sleeping. In the morning we backtracked through the forest. Was a great trip, although I would suggest cutting it down to more then one day - some camped on the peak, some stayed at the farm first, thats a better plan, as we were exhausted.

Saw some monkeys in the forest, and 2 dead cows killed by 3 tigers that were roaming in the area.

“Excellent trek”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

I have done this trek 3 times now - all from kukke side. The trek is awesome - my favorite place if sheshaparvata just before the climb to kumaraparvata. The wind in sheshaparvata is so fierce that you have to experience it to believe.
