Great Surroundings, Friendly staff and the best food you could wish for. Try the homemade soup or Cornish Pasties you will not be disappointed. Following a Gluten Free Diet no problem a great selection of sandwiches and cakes always available. Arrive early as its always busy around lunchtimes. Enjoy.

“Nice surroundings”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2012

The location is fab and the building which used to be a monestary is very unusual and steeped in history. Sadly the food is limited in choice, but is well presented and tasty. A great place to stop whilst out walking the moors.

“Beautiful building with outside patio, excellent sandwich, delicious carrot cake"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2012

Excellent venue in gorgeous old (school) building, delicious sandwich (the cranberries with the cheese titillated my palate from it's ordinary experiences). The old school photographs added interest and charm.
The bovine village of Blanchland is uplifting for the soul.

“Rhubarb Jam!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2012

We visited on Mothering Sunday and thought it would be extremely busy, it was, bus we were shown to a seat on the raised area. After ordering a delicious Earl Grey Tea and a Scone with the full works we went on the try the Carrot Cake. OMG!!! how delicious was the Rhubarb Jam, the scone was falling apart it was so light and the carrot cake was so moist and sticky and sweet, I just didnt care a bout the calories I was piling on.
The staff were rushed off their feet but still had a cheery smile and friendly professional attitude to the customers.

My friends and I have visited on numerous occasions sampling most of their wares and I find them all too delicious to describe.

I can recommend The White Monk Tearoom for a tasty meal any time of the day. I will definately be calling again soon
