“Still my favourite Premier Inn”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

The staff here really couldn't be more friendly or helpful and it was great to see that they were helping the adjoining Beefeater manage its dinner bookings by monitoring how busy the restaurant was.
It's everything you want in a Premier Inn - clean comfortable rooms, very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean bathroom etc...
We made use of the free WiFi this time - it was easy to use and meant we could take the hassle out of Sunday lunch out by booking it.
Overall a great place!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking car-park are much quieter than those looking towards the Beefeater and road.

After a harrowing day driving it was refreshing to have someone who was helpful and understanding in getting us to our room and meal quickly and pleasantly. The receptionist appreciated what a awful day we had had and having our 2 year old granson with us quickly organised our room and our dinner booking.

This was the first time my wife and I have stayed in a hotel since she became a wheelchair user so we went with some trepidation. However we needn't have worried! We booked a disabled room and found it more than up to the task, it was clean, warm and above all wheelchair friendly. I can't praise the staff enough for their welcoming attitude and that includes the staff next door at the Beefeater where we breakfasted. Would definitely stay there again.

I have used competitors in the past and admittedly this was my first time in a Premier Inn, but if this one is anything to go by I definitely would suggest trying then for yourself.
The stall were exceptional, friendly, and helpful to an extent I have not met before apart from a couple of small independents. They checked opening tomes and booked restaurants for us and gave us accurate information on finding places of interest locally. Nothing was too much trouble and local knowledge was very good.
The room was clean and comfortable with all I need for a short stay and the 30 minutes Wi-fi is a real boon and the price for additional usage much cheaper than their competitors.
They aren't the cheapest but the value is very good in comparison to others I have stayed with,

I have stayed in this hotel on many occasions and have always liked it. The staff are great and friendly which makes a big difference whilst you are a lone traveller. This occasion has brought its rating down from 5 to 4 stars due to 1 the price PTI are increasing at an alarming rate. and the housekeeping which on this trip was bad no loo paper and no soap in shower. Not good but as I say nice location and lovely staff.

Room Tip: Book early as Premier Travel Inn hammer you on late booking prices. Also upper rooms are better on c...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at end of Aug 2012 while visiting family. It was our 1st time at this particular Premier Inn and compared with the other one in Southport this was a much more relaxing experience. Plenty of car parking and quiet location apart from occasional sirens from the emergency services going past. Very friendly receptionists, nothing too much trouble, they even offered to bring a daily paper on the way into work as non available locally, and always happy to give us more tea and coffee sachets. There are bikes for hire which we may have used if we had stayed longer. We did not use the restaurant as we ate with family on this visit.

We stayed here as we were attending a family wedding at Scarisbrick School nearby.
On arrival, we were greeted by a very cheerful, friendly and helpful member of Staff. They even helped us book a taxi to and from our function (didn't just give us a number).
We had booked a disabled room for my personal requirements. It was amazing. It had been very well thought out in terms of organisation and provison of facilities.
The wet room was ideal and made life so much easier.
The bed was comfortable, although could have done with being a little higher for ease of getting on/off. However, this DID NOT detract from the overall stay.
Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room were a welcome addition and, upon request, replenished stocks were free flowing!
Breakfast was taken next door in the adjoing Beefeater. This was excellent. The choice, range and quality were very good.
There is plenty of Car Parking and the hotel is only about 6 miles from Southport.
Overall, we were very impressed with the whole experience and wouldn't hesitate in staying again.

Room Tip: Superb choice!
