We spent 2 nights here as part of our honeymoon trip to Spain. Everything about it was excellent. I can't stress that enough. Upon our arrival we met Marc, at reception. He was so very friendly, and he even upgraded our room. The room we stayed in had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was very clean, and had all the modern ammenities one would expect. It was a bit warm, but we had our own temperature control, and were able to use the air conditioning. The first night we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It was fabulous. Some of the best food we had on our trip.
Our price included lift tickets for La Molina, so we enjoyed 2 days of skiing. The price can not be beat; we paid 260 euro for 2 nights and 4 lift tickets. After the first day of skiing, we were able to relax in the pool, which is amazing. This hotel is truly a relaxing place to stay. The bar was a good place to hang out, with a knowledgable bartender. Breakfast was a bit better the 2nd morning, but very good overall. It included the standard buffet items, as well as eggs to order. The entire staff was very friendly, and we were so happy with our stay here.

We booked this hotel because it looked really nice on the website and stayed for 2 nights over the 2010 New Year. It was so bad it was comical. I pitied the staff at this hotel as it is obviously seriously lacking any form of management and totally under-staffed (we met the receptionist at check-in and again as a waiter at breakfast and again as a bar man late at 2am) and the chef seemed to work both in the kitchen and behind the bar.

We made the mistake of booking half-board so had dinner included. The restaurant was so bad on the first night (we went from being being ignored to being served the wrong dishes and then the food was fairly inedible). Needless to say we didn't eat there on the second night.

And what's with the heat in the hotel? I felt like I was living in a sauna, it was suffocating. I met a number of guests who complained about this. The staff's response was "yes - the hotel is very hot isn't it?"

The spa and pool area was nice and this is the hotel's only redeeming quality. It could be a beautiful hotel if it was run well (and unfortunately it is not). There are a number of other lovely, family run hotels in the villages around La Molina and I would try some of these the next time I visit this lovely ski resort.

My overall rate for this hotel is 3, but it's only for the effort made by some of the hotel's employees to keep the 4th star from falling...
Giving the hotel 4 stars was exaggerated, it would have a hard time with 3.
We stayed for 4 nights, me and my girl, and had to change rooms
two times! I'm not the typical complainer, not even close, but the first night was like sleeping in a sauna. The temperature was so hot, it was hard to breath. The client have no way to control the temperature. The next room was really cold, again with no way to make it warmer. No maintenance staff to come over to check it out,
although we called few times. The third room was a sauna again, but we already understood that that's the way it is - no way to control the heat... and no maintenance.
In general, there was not enough staff in the hotel, not even in the dining room. Breakfast was not 4 stars, hardly 2, and dinner was not too bad. You do have to wait for few minutes, though, for some of the trays to come out of the kitchen.
The hotel is not ready yet!!!
