“Delightful B&B”
Reviewed August 25, 2011

We stayed at Les Molyneux as a stopover on our way to Germany from Bayeux.
We cannot speak highly enough of this lovely B&B.
Yvonne & Jiles are extremely warm & welcoming - as is one of their daughters who handled our check in AND I'm so sorry but I have forgotten her name!
The rooms are lovely and roomy, as there were 4 of us we had two rooms which shared a bathroom. There is a lovely shared lounge area and a garden out the back.
Yvonne & Jiles are only too willing to share their knowledge of the area with you.
Unfortunately for us - our biggest regret was that we were only there for 1 night.
Next time we will definately stay for 3 or 4 nights so that we can enjoy Les Molyneux a little longer and explore the lovely area around Verzy.
WE WILL BE BACK!!

Room Tip: If stairs are an issue maybe ask for the room on the ground level.

We stayed for one night between ferry from England and Germany. Great welcome with pot of tea in the communal lounge, huge "Cream" bedroom with large bathroom, lovely breakfast with unusual local bread which had ham, olives and cheese baked in it, fresh croissants, baguette and a choice of delicious home made jams. Yvonne booked us on a tour of the cellars of Moet & Chandon in Epernay which we both enjoyed. We would definitely use this lovely B&B again if passing through.

This was a really enjoyable stay in the heart of Champagne. Very nice rooms, cozy ambiance, very friendly owners and great breakfast. Just ask about champagne and you will be EDUCATED! Great suggestions for winery visits, shopping, and dining around Champagne. It's on our list of '10 places to take with you to a desert island'!

We stayed just the one night en route to friends in Burgundy but were made to feel very welcome at Les Molyneux by Yvonne and her girls (who were back from the UK). It's a very good spot to enjoy as a stop-over or for longer if you want to spend time in the region. Yvonne will provide an evening meal, too, if required, which it was in our case - a very good decision indeed. Recommended!

We had a fabulous time at Les Molyneaux; Giles and Yvonne were wonderful hosts. Pepper was also very welcoming! This was our first trip to Champagne, and my in-laws first trip to Europe. We'd spent some time in Paris, and then in the Somme for Anzac day, and were all looking forward to relaxation, and of course, champagne in Champagne!
Breakfast every morning was a delight with fresh croissants and baguette from the village bakery, freshly brewed coffee with refills, tea, jams - all very yummy.
Giles and Yvonne helped us discover some local champagne houses, to complement our tours of some of the larger houses. It was fabulous to relax in the lounge room at night, and on the back deck during a warm spring day.
We had dinner at Les Molyneaux twice, as we just couldn't face sitting in restaurants again. Both dinners were lovely, and so easy rather than driving from Reims.
Our whole family enjoyed our stay, from the four year old to the seventy-and-a-bit year old!
Parking is a little hairy in a large car, but Yvonne and Giles were happy to help out if it was too daunting.

A great welcome from Yvonne who provided us with tea and local biscuits in the lovely visitor lounge which opened onto a sunny garden. Sharing breakfast with guests from New Zealand and Malta around a large communal table was fun and an experience that can only be found in B & B's. Yvonne kindly booked us into a local restaurant for dinner and gave us details of the 'Reve de Couleurs' a fantastic light and laser show on Reims Cathedral - which should not to be missed!! We stayed in the Terracotta Room which was large and airey but had to keep blinds down to ensure privacy. We were only in Les Molyneux for one night but would love to return for a longer stay next year.

We had a lovely stay at Les Molyneux, and Yvonne went out of her way to insure that we made the most of our time in the Champagne region. Their were so many small champagne producers in these picturesque French villages that deciding which one to visit for a tasting was a bit overwhelming. Yvonne not only gave us suggestions but made reservations and emailed directions. The room we stayed in was comfortable and very attractive with all the amenities one could ask for, including a lovely large claw-foot bath tub. Breakfast was delicious with locally baked croissants and other wonderful french pastries. I highly recommend this B&B and look forward to my next visit.
