This purpose built Premier Inn [not being next to a pub] is possibly the best Premier Inn that we have stayed in. We received a professional and friendly welcome on a cold winter’s night but our room was clean fresh and warm. Plenty of tea and coffee and if you run out, there was more was available at reception. Like all Premier Inns and Whitbread places there is not a free 24 hour WiFi service, but we could live with that. We only had breakfast and would find it hard to find any fault with that. Fantastic location right next to the main road but far enough away that you will not get disturbed by traffic noise.

I've stayed in a few independent hotels recently which have been a bit hit and however my recent stay here reminded me why you can always rely on a Premier Travel Inn. A professional welcome, clean good size room, space to work and a comfy bed. I suppose the food is not much to write home about but it's consistent. Sorry independent hotel owner but you will be second choice from now on.

Another weekend break for my wife and I saw us at this Premier Inn for the first time, and we were not disappointed again. The staff from reception, through domestic, dining and bar, were all extremely friendly and wanting to please. It was a bitterly cold weekend but our room was warm and well cared for, as were the remainder of the hotel. The dining room was very pleasant, contained within the hotel, and the range of food on the menu was, as usual, quite wide. Service for our Premier breakfasts and our evening meals was first class, very swift, and served with a smile. We both enjoy our food and the quality of that served to us, from the steaks, through to the chicken curry, with very tasty starters and puddings, was excellent. The location is fine, easy access to Ipswich and elsewhere, with a Park & Ride into Ipswich just a couple of junctions down the A14.
I only really have one grumble, and it is only a little one really, and that is that I believe that it is time that Premier Inn provided full time free wi fi at its hotels instead of just a measily 30 minutes per day. I know it is only £3 per day to get full internet service, but most hotels nowadays do not charge. I should add that the fact that I had to pay for my internet access did not in any way spoil our weekend. We have always enjoyed staying at Premier Inns and we look forward to our next long weekend in May.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the opposite side to the A14 because one can hear the traffic noise otherwise...

Stayed for 4 nights and would go back again. Very easy to find just outside of Ipswich. Ideal location for visiting local villages, Lavenham, Kersey, Ipswich etc. Staff very helpful, couldnt be nicer. Room good, clean and warm. Housekeeping good. Breakfast was best I have had at a Premier Inn, like the idea that you can see the chef as well. Very organised. Ate in two nights and food was good, price and selection.

Room Tip: Quiet location had no problem with noise. We had ground floor, before you enter reception.

We arrived for a two night stay after a long journey and were pleased with the hotel. You know what you're getting with a Premier Inn and this hotel had obviously been refurbished relatively recently.

Good bed, blackout curtains, basic bathroom and basic facilities in the room. All very clean and what is needed from a roadside bolt hole. And despite being next to the main road the hotel was very quiet.

There is a restaurant in the hotel with limited opening hours. We didn't have dinner there but breakfast was excellent. All you can eat but freshly cooked to order.

Worth knowing:
- it takes about ten minutes to get into Ipswich from the hotel;
- there's a 24 hour Asda at the next junction;
- there's a Pizza Hut, KFC and McDonald's at the next junction.
