“filthy”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2012

Dined here recently whilst staying at the nearby Premier Inn. The pub was filthy, floor was covered with food, sauce sachets and had obviously been there for hours as well trodden into the carpet. Ladies toilets were also disgusting, lack of paper, soap and floors covered with rubbish. If we hadnt had such a long journey we would have walked out- food was just edible, reasonably priced and served fairly quickly but I sincerely hope the manager gets his staff working with a mop and bucket.Suggest you wash your hands on the way out.

“Eaten here many times.....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2012

Ate here yesterday(28th April) on way back from Essex to Norfolk,ok,it appears to be `ping ping` food, doubt most of it is prepared/cooked from fresh, but £4.99 for a boneless, skinless chicken breast, wrapped in bacon, cheese, chips & peas is reasonable value for a quick fix, fast service, clean table & cutlery, pleasant, attentive staff.

Only negatives, asked waitress for mint sauce to go with lamb shank,to be told they didn`t have any.
Kids running around the pub, very unsafe when staff carrying hot food/drinks.

“Been a few times and it's getting worse”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2012

Have been a number of times and before it was decent pub food in a pleasant enviroment. However we went recently and the food was dry, bland, overcooked and tough. I had a rump steak and this place reminded me of why I'm no fan of rump steak, it was tough and unpleasant. i appreciate they are catering to a large undemanding customer base but they really need to up thier game. I suppose in their favour is they have little competition in Claydon but it just doesn't make for a must visit location. Food bland, enviroment bland prices OK but would we go again? No.

“Filthy tables and appalling tasteless inedible food in vast quantities. Grim!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2012 via mobile

We stopped at this place en route from Norwich and it was so bad, I had to get it added to trip advisor to warn others. the place was heaving but it took at least two requests to have our table cleaned, even though staff with cleaning kits passed us by. The food was awful, awful, awful and served in vast quantities. I don't think even a hungry horse would eat here. If you want huge quantities of inedible cheap tasteless food, then this is the place for you!
