from the moment we got there we were made to feel very welcome, the family room we had was very nice, air con in both rooms 2 tv"s if required but limited english show"s, room was cleaned every day, i always had things laying around including money none of which were ever touched. the swimming pool is good although can be cold to start with, just jump in, sunbeds and pool area kept clean and tidy.the food was always of a good standard and has to suit up to 6 different cultures, my view is if you want english food all the time then stay in england, other than that there is always something english but try all of it as it is very nice.all bar staff are hard workers and try there best to look after one, look out for, selim snd musa, good guys.entertainment is varied and enjoyable in both the evening and around the pool during the day.the resort offers free use of its gym if so inclined (for the mad ones) and the spa offers various massage and turkish baths at good prices.only one minor point the disco not great but it was early season so may get better.a walk to the shop"s + bars will take you about 15 minutes to walk to, although there are a few right outside the hotel, not inclined to barter as much though.or catch a dolmus into alanya for 3.5lire each and get dropped in the town center. all in all had a great time in a great hotel with beautiful weather, tell everyone its well worth the money
My boyfriend and I chose Alaiye mainly as it was the cheapest on offer on the Thomas Cook holiday deals, and we never expected it to be as high a standard as it was. The hotel is beautifully designed...very spacious and luxurious, rooms are extremely comfortable (we had rose petals sprinkled on our bed! and a superb view over the pool and sea beyond), everything is so clean (rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day), food is AMAZING, and the staff will go out of their way to talk to you and check that everything is ok. We got the feeling that they were given motivation talks before dinner as everything was so efficient and briliantly managed. Nuh (head waiter) was particularly lovely and chatted to us whenever he saw us. Evening entertainment was ok. I was very sceptical when I first went as I usually hate that kind of thing, but it was genuinely funny and the guy hosting it was fantastic, flitting between English, German, French and Turkish so quickly that you only really heard your own language and could always follow everything. We somehow ended up going there every night! On the last night they had Turkish evening and they had proffessional Turkish dancers in. It was so impressive I would have paid a lot of money to see it; it's definately not to be missed. Beach is small but sandy, and the water is very clean. There were no water sports when we were there as it was out of season, but we went to the Side Diving School as it was something we really wanted to do, and had a lovely day out on a boat with fresh fish lunch and 2 dives with instruction. There are probably places a lot nearer to the hotel, but that is just where we happened to be. Only downside is that it is quite far from anywhere...not a prob for us as it was nice to see the countryside, but just something that people should be aware of. Overall a fantastic holiday!
