“Fantastic place to stay!”
Reviewed November 16, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by William, who gave us a tour of the barn, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine, chocolates and home made flapjack. We were informed of some of the local walks, which we would definitely recommend- it is a beautiful area with lots of woodland. The accommodation was clean, tidy, with everything we needed, and there was even a garden area with unbelievable views. We wish we could have stayed longer! A definite recommendation from us!

“Excellent, highly recommended”
Reviewed July 25, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Just returned home after a superb week at Hooks Barn. What a lovely cottage, ideally situated, very clean, well equipped and in a fantastic setting. We were warmly greeted by Joan and William and appreciated the lovely touch of milk, cake and a bottle of wine on arrival! We hope to return again in the future and would highly recommend Hooks Barn to other couples looking to holiday in the Wye Valley.

“Absolutely excellent!!!”
Reviewed July 23, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

What a lovely place this is. Quiet and peaceful and situated on the fringe of the Forest of Dean.
Lovely welcome from William who showed us around the property, of which he and Joan are justifiably proud.
There has been a lot of love and attention to detail given to the transformation of this ancient Cider Barn and we loved every minute of our stay there. It is well equipped and there is a lovely garden area overlooking a classic English valley where you can while away the hours.
Although William and Joan live next door they will respect your privacy and yet will offer assistance and advice if required.
A wonderful find!

“Wonderful country hideaway!”
Reviewed April 27, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We stayed at Hooks Barn for two night in April.

The accommodation has been renovated to a high standard while maintaining its rustic features. A perfect hideaway.

Set in a gorgeous landscape of country side with horses, sheep and two friendly cats for company. Some great places to see not too far away.

William and Joan are thoughtful and helpful hosts, lovely welcome treats and with lots of suggestions on things to do.

We will be back for another visit for sure!
