Great B & B, very Good breakfast. Clean and very well kept.

Great location, having a very welcoming pub right next door.

If you have read the other reviews, you will know that Caroline runs a truly great guesthouse but I want to comment on the food. I am vegetarian and have always been a wholefood, real food prepared from scratch enthusiast and at Lea House you get it all. Home made bread, freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit platter with decent yoghurt and proper coffee. The other people staying on the day I was there had the traditional English breakfast which was also delicious and prepared with care and flair. Wish other B&Bs I have stayed in could take a leaf from Caroline's book. This is somewhere I will want to revisit

My daughter and I stay at this B & B this August on a wonderful trip to Scotland and England. I needed help being picked up at the train station as I did not have a car and the Hostess set up everything, including confirming times and transportation for my next day trip to the Birds of Prey Institute in Neweent. Not only was the Hostess a travel agent for us; the home was beautiful; spotless and located next to a charming Pub. What else could we ask for? Breakfast was made to order! I suggest an omelett of your choice. A must stay and go to the Birds of Prey Institute as weli where you can actually fly the birds or if contnent to do so, watch others!

Caroline runs this immaculate bed and breakfast with a perfectionist's attention to detail, taste, enthusisam, and cheerful hospitality. Located right on the main road in Lea, the rooms are sheltered from road noise by being behind the main building. Our room (the Hayloft) was spacious, nicley decorated with character, very comfortable and immaculately clean. We had dinner on the night of arrival - superb, with local ingredients dominating the menu and beautifully cooked, and the breaksfasts deserve their excellent reputation, again with local ingredients, extremely well cooked and presented, and plenty of choice. The sitting / dining room is spacious and also well decorated with an intresting and ecclectic mix of furniture, furnishingsand decoration. We strongly recommend this very smart and individual bed and breakfast and consider the price to have been well worth paying.

Our room was delightful, our hostess clearly being fastidious about cleanliness. We felt as if we must be the first people ever to have set foot in the en suite. The house is pretty, with a delightful garden. It is not secluded, but it is next to a useful pub/diner, where we soaked up the atmosphere one evening.
Breakfast was big enough to last us until mid afternoon. I am a vegetarian, who normally asks for two eggs instead of the bacon, however at Lea House, I was delighted to be offered a choice of vegi options and can recommend the lentil bake with tomato, fried egg and mushrooms. Lovely stay. Beautiful part of the country.

My room, The Granary, was large and comfortable, unlike some 'boxes I have stayed in. Milk to go with the tea etc. provided in a thermos to keep it fresh. An inveterate tea drinker I felt this little touch was outstanding. An unusual start to breakfast was a beautifully laid out plate of fruit. It seemed that Caroline would take the trouble to provide almost anything a guest desired for this meal. Three dogs were staying, none mine, but I would hardly have known they were there. Cocoa the house dog is a quiet elderly animal, a homely touch in a friendly but very professionally run establishment. I hope to return.
