I have to agree with all of the prevous posters who praise Erletxe and, above all, Maria, the owner and her wonderful housekeeper, Nicoletta.. When we made the reservation, she said that only "Las Uvas" was available. However, upon arrival, she told us that someone had cancelled and the "Las Moscas" was available if we wanted it, which we did. The room was very spacious, with super big closets, fantastic bathroom and a view of the valley below. She even changed the bed cover because the one it had was not "as nice". Ladies, there is a hair dryer in the bathroom! Also, full size amenities, none of those tiny soaps here!
As with other customers, she immediately called and made an appointment for us to tour "El Fabulista" later in the day. She then gave us directions to the Tourism Info office so that we could make our plans with the Eno Bus the next day.
Maria invited us to her 3rd floor quarters so we could take in the view over the wall, which was part or her terrace!
She also shared with us her recipe for "Torrijas" the wonderful Spanish version of French Toast that we had on our second morning, along with her home made honey. Yum!
All in all, I wholeheartedly recommed this Casa Rural.

We had read so many great things about Maria and Erletxe, but still our stay exceeded all our expectations! Amazing hospitality! Maria and Nicollete are both such good hearted persons. Maria helped us with everything. Best breakfast on our trip in la Rioja. Erletxe is a beautiful, cozy and quaint place with a great location and a beautiful view over the vineyards.
We arrived later than agreed and even though Maria had an appointment elsewhere she still took the time to make us feel so welcome. We can definitely recommend this place to everyone!

We found Erletze ("erletchee") through Trip Advisor and it proved to be one of the most pleasant places we have ever stayed. Innkeeper Marie and her sister, who was visiting for a short while, doted on us like royalty; Nicollete, the housekeeper, was wonderful. The inn is inside the walls of the city of LaGuardia and no cars are allowed on the streets, but the town is small enough to stroll the length and breadth very easily. Parking is readily available nearby at no cost. The inn comprises about 9 or 10 guest rooms, each with its own character and beauty. Clean as a whistle and very quiet at night. Breakfasts are a real treat but US tourists must remember that Spanish breakfasts are not like typical American spreads...great rolls and bread, delicious fruits and some of the best coffee in Spain. Marie is willing to provide information for hiking, biking, wine tours, restaurants, etc. She also provides the small, generous touches that make for a truly hospitable and memorable stay. She lives on the top floor and if you're lucky, she may invite to up to the porch to view the magnificent scenery.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the countryside

All the previous reports were spot-on. This “Casa Rural”is perfectly positioned inside the walls of the lovely old town of Laguardia in the heart of Rioja, with superb views over the seemingly endless vineyards. Its owner, Maria, is totally dedicated to caring for her guests and simply cannot do enough to help make your stay in the area enjoyable. We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights and on Sunday morning she rang a couple of bodegas to fix up a guided tour for us. We visited Bodega Fabulista with just the two of us being given a private tour and tasting, thanks to Maria. Our room was comfortable and we found the sitting room not only comfortable but a good place to meet and chat to other guests. Breakfast is splendid, a communal affair with a large table where, once again you can communicate with other travellers.
Laguardia is a pretty, walled town on a hill, full of restaurants and tapas bars, suitable for all tastes and wallets (except those who expect to eat and drink the same as they do at home).

The Erlextxe in Laguardia was the highlight of our trip! The hotel is situated in the hill town of Laguardia - not far from Logrono - right in the heart of La Rioja, so it's a perfect place to headquarter to tour the wineries.

The hotel is immaculate, rooms large, breakfast wonderful (don't miss the homemade honey), etc. - all good. But the best part is Maria! She is owner extraordinaire. She couldn't have been more helpful in pointing us in the right direction for all our sightseeing/wine tasting needs. But most of all she truly cared about every aspect of our visit - including wanting to drive us to Logrono to catch the bus to Madrid. At 6AM no less.

Would definitely stay there again and recommend Erlextxe without hesitation. Be sure and ask Maria to show you the "honey" room.

I have to concur w/ all of the excellent reviews on this place. Maria went out of her way to assist us with any needs we might have and was especially helpful with arranging logistics when our plans changed at the last minute - which she ended up spending several hours doing in order to help us. It really was like staying with family and you can tell she enjoys what she does. The rooms were beyond spotless and the place is constantly being cleaned by Nicoletta who was also delightful. We found parking on the 2nd terrace right behind the back entrance, so found it very convenient. There is also parking below on the 1st terrace as well. The rooms were quiet and peaceful. Great common areas - so was a bit like having an apartment, which we really liked. We had the two "view" rooms and of the 2, the "Las Moscas" seemed larger and also had a larger bath. All of the positive reviews were right - a great TA recommendation.

This quaint B&B is in the heart of Laguardia on a little side street. The owner Maria could not have been more gracious and made sure our needs were met. The rooms are pleasant. Our only complaint is noise each night from kids on the street. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.
