Friendly welcome and a pretty outlook over the green - very quiet village. Comfortable bed and breakfast served at a time to suit. A few updates needed to the hotel and attention to detail would have made this an ideal stay but there were a few negative points - no food available on the evening of arrival although the next village is just a short drive away - Very small bathroom just a shower and loo - minute handbasin in the room with no accessible mirror. I believe the new owners are working on improvements however. The breakfast was good but no orange juice or cereals offered - would have expected this for the price. I'd stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have a pleasant view

A small hotel/inn with a warm friendly welcome located in a small village just south of the wall(Hadrian). The new owners are working hard to improve this old coaching inn and parts are a tiny bit dated but they deserve all the support we can give them. Sunday lunch was lovely.
