We were delighted with our stay at the Hotel Argos. We had a warm greeting by the famous night receptionist - possibly the friendliest man in Ibiza. He should be promoted.

As the other reviews highlight the day time reception staff need some training form the night guy like how to be a bit more friendly and communicative.

However the hotel is in a perfect location to Talamanca beach, cafe's and restaurants. Walking distance from Pacha so if you leave at 7pm you can get back in time to watch the sun rise.

The hotel was extremely clean and the room seemed recently renovated with adequate towels and soaps.

Very comfortable bed.

We did not eat there so cannot vouch for the food.

All in all a fabulous stay.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4th floor overlooking Talamanca beach.

Just back from a 10 day stay at the Argos , was ment to stay 7 days but the other hotel I had booked in (the S'Argamassa ) was not to my liking , so stayed at the Argos b&b can't fault it , and I have stayed at el pacha , the hostal talamanca , the one , it is right on the beach , rooms are all white and lovely ,I must mention
Sergio on the reception couldn't be more helpful ,
I must say the girl on reception was very surly she needs to smile !!!!!!
It is the perfect location , you can hop on a little ferry that takes you to Ibiza town , also you can go to formentera for the day . Enjoy

What a wonderful surprise we got at this hotel. Beautifully modern, scrupulously clean and a location that could not have been more perfect. The beach with all it's laid back bars and restaurants were at the back of the hotel (along with views to die for) and the glamorous Marina with it's glitzy, quality restaurants was at the front. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Book a sea view room to take advantage of panoramic views of the beach, hills and sea.

We have just returned from our third visit to Hotel Argos in Talamanca. The hotel rooms have been refurbished since our last visit. The rooms are all in fresh white and are very much improved. We enjoyed the choice of food on our half board basis. The restaurant has a very relaxed feel to it with great views overlooking the sea. There are always plenty of sunbeds free at the pool but a little bit busier on the beach. You have to pay a deposit for a beach towel which is returned at the end of your visit. We will definitely return again to this hotel in the near future.
Only negative point is the reception staff who can be a bit rude. The young man at reception is too busy chatting and laughing to his colleagues to do his job properly. He has worked there for a number of years. I hope he reads this review and takes the hint!
Otherwise I can't fault this hotel. It's in a fabulous location.

Room Tip: A sea view is a must!

This is a typical 1960/70s built hotel that has had a little bit of a refurb recently. Not a full shut down refurb but the rooms have been done to a good standard. Everything else about the hotel is frankly a bit tired, including the various reception staff, we didn't find a single one that was helpful. When queuing at reception it felt like we were a bunch of naughty school children waiting outside the Heads office, yes it was really that bad. The staff are not bias against any particularly nationality, they treat everybody with equal contempt! No eye contact, no manners, no customer service. I felt like blowing my top a couple of times but the wife calmed me down!

On the plus points there is a small gym, not serviced, cleaned or worthwhile really. Indoor pool which is ok, outdoor pool quite good although it is screened with Perspex so if there is any breeze it doesn't filter through to the pool area, hence a hot spot!

The "private" beach is not the best, a bit of a clean up here and it could be great. Aircon in the rooms only so all common areas are stifling.

On the whole if they had carried on with the refurb it could be great but for me it's definitely not a four star, more like a 2.5 or 2 if you factor in "Heads Office" masquerading as Reception.

BTW - the Flotante beach bar next door is always full, excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly service and fantastic value

Just back from a weeks stay at the Argos. 10 mins from airport, 18 to 20 euros. Never been to Ibiza before and chose Talamanca because it was near to Ibiza town. Could not fault the hotel or the area. As has been said in previous reviews, hotel was very clean and rooms just like the photos on the website we also got a room with lovely sea view overlooking the bay as requested. Room also had fridge/mini bar and air conditioning. Pool area was great and could never busy. Private beach also great as didn't have to pay for sun beds. Breakfast had lots of choice and varied each day and the dining room also had view of the bay. Reception staff helpful and gave discount on ferry trip to Formentera. Along the bay is a boardwalk with a great choice of restaurants/bars practically on the beach and more than we expected.....one of the highlights for us. Another being the little water taxi round the corner near the marina which takes you to Ibiza Town every 30 mins, 9am to 1am, takes 15 mins, 3.70 euros return. Ibiza town well worth a few visits by day and night. Loads of shops, restaurants and hippy market every day till midnight. Also 10 min walk from the hotel is the marina. More choice of gorgeous restaurants and bars. Although bit more pricey you get fabulous views of the boats and Ibiza town. Will definitely go back. Normally like to stay in a different place but if go back to Ibiza would have to stay in Talamanca again and The Hotel Argos. The other hotels are the other side of the bay so not as convenient to walk to marina or water taxi. A classy place!

Room Tip: Sea view is a must

Just returned from a 10 night stay at hotel Argos. We arrived at 10.30am but our room wasn't going to be ready til 1pm. Receptionists greeting was ok but not the politest. There was one receptionist, young guy who was very rude. Pool towels are 10euro deposit each but you can change them for clean ones for free.Once into the room it was spotless. Lovely white interior with a balcony (not seaview) but still nice with a lovely bathroom. Rooms were cleaned everyday. The beach beside the hotel has a few bars/restaurants with good food to enjoy. We went half board but only ate a couple times, the food is a disappoinment, not much of a choice and tasteless. The beach was busy but has pedalos and jet skis you can rent out. The pool at the hotel was lovely, at times busy but other times you can get it all to yourself. (Didn't need to reserve a sun lounger once) Pacha is just a 10 minute walk away. Ibiza town is great, 3.60 return ticket on the water taxi and they run til midnight. Great markets and culture to see. Definitely a hotel to consider as in a perfect location in talamanca. A location to suit family's and couples.
