All the chic magazines recommend this place for a pre-club dinner. We didn't think we would get a reservation last minute but it happened to be a quiet night in San Rafael.
The hostess was helpful and showed us into a romantic and chilled out setting with a small pool. Initial impressions were hopeful.
We were expecting the high price but were very disappointed by extremely poor choice on the menu. The cappacio of artichoke starter comprised of thick raw chunks of vegetable and thick dry strips of parmesan. My lyonnaise salad was a bowl of frisse salad, egg and lardons. Again not what you would expect presentation wise from initial impressions.
My main course of shoulder of lamb was tasty and tender ( well it would need to be for 30 euros!) and my partners prawn main was stingy and undercooked and ridiculous for what was essentially 5 euro per prawn.
The only saving grace was that the setting was romantic enough to not entirely ruin the night. However 150 euros is a lot to pay just for the setting!
