Dined here last Saturday night - it was the first time my friend and I had been to this restaurant, but we chose it because of the good reviews. The overall ambiance was lovely, with warm-coloured decor and floor-to-ceiling windows. The waitstaff were extremely courteous and made you feel like a valued patron.
My friend had the beef carpaccio and captrese for entree and gorgonzola beef for main, while I had the bruschetta for entree and spaghetti alla paesana + wood fired vegetables for main. We were both extremely happy with the quantity and quality. My friend also has the tiramisu for dessert, but I was too full for anything more!
My friend is an avid wine drinker and received ample assistance from the sommelier. In the end, he was extremely happy with his choice of shiraz.
Towards the end of the evening, once a lot of the patrons has left, the owner went around to all the tables and spoke personally to those of us who were still there. I thought it was very good PR, and a nice way to engage with his clientele. Some complimentary savoury snacks were also sent out, but I was so stuffed I couldn't fit in anything more.
Overall, this restaurant is very good value for money. You can really make it as expensive or cheap as you want it to be, as there are options for both ends of the budget (the pastas are between $22-25) while the other mains are around $35. I know my friend and I will definitely be back!
