Our first visit. Relaxing, chilled, and with friendly multi-lingual front of house Claudia. Great location and pool. Food choices could be better (they seemed to focus on 2 or three main dishes all of the 5 nights we were with them) but breakfast was good and there were restaurants in Sa Pobla (just up the road) and Pollenca which were very authentic and good. Car essential unless you want to just chill by the pool but there are days when food in the evening is not available (including, on our visit, a Saturday which was a disappointment). Surrounded by countryside (and the charming little village of Buger up the road) with sheep and wildlife, it was very tranquil, apart from the slightly annoying air-con. Superior junior suites the type of accommodation to go for. 7 out of 10 on our score-card but would recommend it.

A beautiful family owned finca in the countryside yet just 20 minutes from the enormous sandy beaches of Alcudia Bay. Not surprising Agrotourismo means its rural, so if a rural retreat is not for you then go elsewhere because for those that enjoy the escape from the over developed coast this is heaven and I love it.
Just 9 bedrooms and a lovely salt water pool with loungers and a beautiful candlelit courtyard to enjoy home cooked food that you order in the morning. Served with their own olive oil and great value wine from an honesty bar.
The bedrooms are a bit homemade, but the rooms have air conditioning and some have stunning views over beautiful countryside.
Very knowledgeable staff that genuinely care about your holiday, recommended the nicest parts of Alcudia Bay around the nature reserve with a fantastic seafood shack.
Sit back enjoy one of their great value Mojitos and listen to the shepherd herding the sheep through the Carub and Olive Groves, he loves to chat even though I dont understand a word.
I am coming back with more family next year, cant wait.
Booked through The Other Mallorca, very helpful firm

Beautiful Finca in the heart of the Majorcan countryside, with views of mountains and olive groves. Individual bedroom suite with own outside space. Breakfast in the open, watching the geese and chickens. Car essential for trips to beaches and local towns and markets.
Staff at hotel were extremely helpful (and multi-lingual, as guests were from many parts of Europe). Dinner at this small hotel was by pre-booked request.
Loved this place and recommend it highly.

Room Tip: Each room/suite was individual with its own charms. All the rooms were good!

Our small family enjoyed two nights in Son Pons, and is totally encharmed of this place, the tranquility, the enviroment. and the very friendly and familiar service.. After an extremely warm welcome from the owner of the hotel, we have been shown around to see the swimming pool ( unfortunately too cold at this time of the year ), the animals, the olive trees & nature. Everything has been restored with love, lots of special and authentic touches. The room,we stayed in was really enormous, comfortable and nice decorated., the bath beautiful with lovely details. One of the few places in Majorca, where you really feel like at home in a beautiful and relaxing setting. Thank you so much, it has been perfect and as soon as possible we will come back !

We just came back from a trip to Mallorca, where we stayed in a few different places as we wanted to see different parts of the island. On our fourth day on the way to the West coast, we decided to stay the night in Son Pons, I had read the review at Sawdays and looking at the website and other reviews here I thought it would be quite a decent option. When we arrived at Son Pons we parked the car by the pool area which looked pretty small and not particularly charming, we then walked into the main building, the front courtyard was very pretty, but much smaller than what one would expect from the pictures. We were shown to our room, apparently a junior suite, which looked a bit tired, with two little sinks on one wall, a tiny bathroom, and a door that led to an open gallery/library above the reception area. The room had an unpleasant smell, and we found the room and hotel overall slightly depressing. I asked the manager, who was seemed pleasant if there was anywhere near there to go for dinner, she sort of shrugged and said there was nothing around, she said the best option was Alcudia, which we had just avoided but driven past and looked like tourist hell, with tall hotel blocks and fast food chains, I said we wanted something a bit more authentic and she just shrugged again and mentioned there was just nothing around. That might have been the case, although i would have expected from a place like Son Pons to be a bit more knowledgeable about good local restaurants that they could recommend to their guests. When she left us in the room me and my boyfriend looked at each other and without a word picked up our bags and decided to leave.

Lovely 16th century farmhouse in the middle of an orange grove (that is all they mean by "agri-tourism") about 15mins from Inca (Mallorca's second largest city). Hotel has very few rooms - maybe 8 or 9. I can only comment on ours - the junior suite by the pool in the old renovated barn - a truly beautiful room with many original features maintained. The rest of the rooms seem to be in a newer building a little away from the main house with similar style decor but lacking the authenticity of a 400 year old barn! Located right by the very quiet pool it often felt like the whole area was ours for the 2 nights!

Pros:
- amazing room in 400yr old barn
- Claudia on reception is very helpful
- great value for money compared to many of the higher end farm stays (fincas as they are called) at 30-50% less per night
- lovely peace and quiet a millions miles away from it all
- hi speed wi-fi in all rooms

Cons:
- lacking some "mod-cons" - felt like the hair dryer was restored from 400yrs ago.....
- breakfast spread is pretty basic compared to many other places on the island
- flies in the gardens and by the pool can be annoying so bring your repellant.

Overall, I'd thoroughly recommend if considering a couple of days peace and quiet, though as I say, I can only vouch for our room which was away from all the others. Lovely property - farmhouse, courtyard, restored barn etc. Some of the high-end luxuries missing but at half the price who can complain.
