“The most beautiful, romantic hotel / finca, we have ever visited”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

The hotel has been run (and extremely well kept) by a very service minded family for decades.

The place and surroundings were beautiful with the decoration, flowers and plants (look at the pictures at their web site and see for you self if you like it!)

Neither the hotel or gourmet restaurant is cheap - but worth every penny. The home baked bread for breakfast we have not tasted better any place in the world.

It is in the middle of nowhere with 5-10 km to the nearest restaurant but the hotel own restaurant in the vine cellar is fabulous and there was a kitchen in the apartment and a nice terrace on which we enjoyed our own cooking.

There are 2 nice pool areas.

Just back from out third stay at the sublime Sa Torre...and already thinking about our next visit!
Having always been wary about returning to an hotel where a wonderful time was had, in case one's expectations were set too high, my wife and I have now returned twice after out first blissful stay in 2008 and can only say that Sa Torre gets better in every way.

The welcome from the attentive and service-minded family is warm and genuine and from the moment of arrival you know you are in good hands.

The apartments remain spotless and are clearly regularly maintained to a high standard and lack nothing - should there be anything you need just mention it and it will appear.

The delightful grounds are constantly being improved with a wonderful variety of spectacular trees & plants with many quiet corners to discover tuck oneself into. The two swimming pools are perfectly maintained and with only seven apartments accommodating a maximum of, say, 18 guests at any one time, always quiet and with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. If you don't fancy a swim, then sun-bathe, lounge or eat out on the tree-shaded terrace of your apartment.

The spectacular restaurant delighted and surprised us once again with imaginative, modern Mediterranean-style cuisine of a very high standard. The menu de degustation is a splendid affair starting with an aperetif, a (generous!) amuse-bouche followed by both a starter and a fish course before arriving at the main-event. A delicious dessert will also need to be done justice! Whilst the menu, which changes weekly, appears to offer no choices, should there be anything not to your liking anything, the chef will be only too pleased to suggest alternatives. Equally, should residents wish to dine regularly throughout their stay, a different, and similarly delicious menu will be provided, as it was for us! Just let the restaurant know in advance.
Ask Pedro to assist with choosing your Mallocan wines which have improved enormously over the years and are well worth investigating. Both reds and whites have some real and unexpected stunners amongst them.
Within 20 minutes from the restaurants of Algaida, Palma and Santa Maria eating out is easy and varied.

Once again, Sa Torre worked its magic on us and we'll be back again next Spring.

Thank you ALL at Sa Torre for making our stay so memorable for your welcome, the service, the comfort and the food and wine!

Room Tip: All the apartments are spacious and quiet and all but one have a well-equipped kitchenette. The thr...

We stayed here last week for 14 nights but most people seemed to only stay for a week or a few days - July 2012- we were with our two boys aged 12 and 10. We had a wonderful holiday. You need to hire a car and the best beaches are at muro (plenty space and activities for kids if required) which is about forty mins in car but worth the drive. Market at Santa Maria was great and there is also a lovely ice cream parlour there. If you want a hotel in lovely tranquil settings this is the place for you but also with plenty to do within a short drive away. The boys went to a couple of waterparks nr palma and had fun but be warned you pay to get in but then spend a fortune when in there as they charge extra to hire inflatables etc. we also went to palma aquarium which takes about three hours but was worth a visit kids loved it. The accommodation was superb and the maids cleaned the room to a very high standard every three days. The breakfast was lovely plenty to eat and the owner would make us eggs or bring fruit and yogurts if we wanted them. They arranged for bread to be delivered for us every day which we used for lunch. Nothing was any trouble at all. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and I have to say it is one of the best restaurants I have ever been in. The food was amazing and the room is just beautiful being 350 years old and full of family history. I will definitely be making a return visit to this hotel sometime in the future and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Pedro and family for such a wonderful holiday :-) x

My wife and I stayed here for four nights as a Bank Holiday break in June. The building and grounds are absolutely amazing and the pictures can't translate how incredibly beautiful the place is. You definitely need a car as it is fairly secluded and there is no bar at night only the restaurant. The family work very hard and made us feel extremely welcome at all times, we stayed in a double room which was a lovely blend of modern facilities and traditional Majorcan furnishings. Continental breakfast in the garden with delicious croissant, fresh fruit and juice with great coffee, was a wonderful way to start our day. It is worth staying here just for the restaurant alone. Set in a breathtaking cellar, they prepare a set menu which when we were there included a little prawn and crab appetiser, a glass of Cava, a delicious salad, Turbot, Lamb and dessert. We also added a bottle of their house red which was very very good. We thought it was good value for such a fantastic meal. If you want a relaxing base to explore the island, this place is exceptional.

Room Tip: We had the double room which was perfect, although apartments are also available.

We just stayed one night at this very interesting Finca. It is solely family run and this family leave no stone unturned to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. They work as a very well oiled team - they were extremely friendly and most helpful. Their hospitality, first class. We stayed in a small room as only visiting for the evening - but this Finca has self catering apartments. The highlight was the restaurant - a magnificent room with beautifully dressed tables serving great food from its excellent kitchen by friendly and efficient staff. The grounds were amazing - and resembled a botanical garden with a huge variety of different shrubs and trees. It will be a delight to revisit and enjoy this families hospitality once more.

My sister and I arrived at Sa Torre on the last day of our walking break, and realised we had discovered a gem! We were first struck by the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside, the fabulous views and choice of mountain walks nearby. Then we were given a concise tour of the hotel and grounds by our friendly hosts and knew we were going to have a wonderful final evening. After a lazy swim in the refreshingly cool swimming pool - one of two both set on discreet seclude terraces - we retired to our shady and comfortable room where everything we needed was on hand from the invigorating shower, fluffy towels and ice cold water in the fridge, to the little touches: a hair dryer, aromatic shampoo, a light but ever-so-cosy duvet on the king sized bed. The 'taster menu' dinner, served in the exquisite surroundings of the old wine cellars, was superb. We feasted on the lightest of vegetable- topped pastries, succulent grilled fish, divine pork on a bed of delicious, earthy mushrooms and a creamy, liqueur- drenched dessert, all washed down with a welcome glass of champagne and a chilled bottle of local white wine. Everything about our stay at Sa Torre exceeded our dreams. Sitting outside in the early morning sunshine beside the abundant quince and apricot orchard, drinking in the tranquility, dabbing up the sweet flakes of our croissants with greedy fingers and sipping the last drops of warm, pungent coffee from the bottom of our cups, we agreed it would be impossible to leave without a plan to come back, soon.
