This restaurant is up a hill just off the Palma - Manacor road, near to Montuiri. It's position is beautiful, adjoining the Sanctuary de Sant Miquel with stunning views over the island. It is a wonderfully peaceful spot and we visited 3 times, once for lunch and twice for dinner. The lunchtime menu del dia, didn't offer a choice of dishes, but was incredibly good value, with bread, olives, large, very tasty salad, main course, dessert, water and wine for 12 euros each. The host Pedro, is a lovely man, friendly, attentive, courteous and patient of our less than perfect Spanish! We returned for dinner and had two delicious meals, one lamb and one goat dish, both slow cooked and meltingly tender, and rustically mallorquin. He leaves the wine bottle on the table, and only charges you for what you drink, Just as well if you don't finish the bottle as he insists on you taking a complimentary glass of Herbes before you leave! We came back for dinner on our last night and again had delicious meals, and this time he presented us with a "present from his wife" two delicious desserts. Each time we visited the restaurant was very quiet, the most we saw were about 10 lunchtime diners and rather less at night. This place deserves to have many more visitors, and I guess maybe it had good local business at the weekend, but if you are visiting locally please give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
