This is among the nicest simple restaurants we visited in our week-long holiday. Few hundred meters away from the very busy old town, much larger than anything that could fit there and still well served by a team the manager or owner controls carefully.

We had a full dinner with reasonable wait times and well prepared starters and main courses from the region's standard fare - soups, preserved fish, grilled calamari and tuna, and simple, good desserts. Well, maybe the tuna was a bit overdone, still very fresh and enjoyable.

Prices were average for the region, so low for our Italian standards, pleasantly surprising us after the better-than-average service and cooking.

Very possibly your best bet in Krk.

We ate here twice because we liked it so much. It is a little outside the town centre, but still within walking distance. There is a large terrace, very pleasant to sit here at night. We had everything from grilled squid to steak and salad to pizza to surlice with scampi. Everything tasted very good and the bread that came with our meals was wonderful! Came here on our last evening and had a very funny waiter who pretended to drop a coffee cup on my teenage son - we all got a shock as we thought it was full! Were given free schnaps and espresso at the end for putting up with the humour!
