We arrived at 14:30 and the room
still had to be cleaned. They did it on the spot, but very hasty and very very poorly!
The floors still had dust and traces of grass and the kitchen was sticky. The glasses and cups were dusty and the bathtub had some unwelcome hairs.

Besides all that the pool was nice, the view was nice and there were sheep passing our house/room every night, which amused wife and kid.

The staff waa friendly and helpful... So it was just the dirty and outdated room that put us off, resulting in a low score.

This hotel is tucked away in rolling countryside close to Pontrieux. Rooms are modern with all usual facilities. Typical Breton property. Very quiet but still only 5mins from Pontrieux. We stayed for three nights in January (buying a house close by and needed a place to stay before the signing). For two nights we were the only guests but the owner and his wife could not have been more helpful, accomodating or attentive. They even e-mailed us before our arrival warning of expected bad weather. The food in the restaurant is first class. They suffered my bad French with great patience and gave us lots of very helpful local advice.

The restaurant is open to non-residents and would reccommend it to anyone staying in the area. Note, No Sunday dinner off season. Good parking. Internet (Hard wire and Wi-fi) available. We will look forward to using the hotel as non-residents in the future.

Room Tip: Rooms in the annexe are new and have very modern facilities. Ground floor annexe rooms have their ow...

We stayed here in late September 2011. Our friends booked this hotel on the basis of the restaurant rating. After we booked,we were advised that the restaurant was closed on Sunday but at least we were prepared and bought food with us. The hotel is not particularly close to a village so not sure where you would go to dine. You could not even get a drink as the bar was also closed. We arrived at 5pm and given our room keys. However, we wished to have a look at other options but too late there was nobody around to help us.
On the positive side, we were given a family room with kitchen facilities so at least we got to eat our dinner in comfort with a lovely view over the fields. There is a most pleasant walk along the river. It is a very nice property but it felt like we were the only people staying (I think there were a few others) but it looked and felt very deserted. If they do not want to operate the hotel at this time of the year and offer their guests a service, then do not accept bookings.
