“A Very Enjoyable Experience”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

A group of four of us went out for a evening meal. The overall experience was excellent. The resturant has several fixed price menu options we all chose the three course option. The service was excellent, the food well prepared and somewhat unique and all in all a first class experience. The decor has recently been redone and there is a very nice terrace although that evening it was too cool to take advantqage of it. The price was also quite reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Reservations are recommended as the weeknight we were there it was full, including a large table of locals in what appeared to be a hosted business dinner.

“A Bustling Restaurant in the Heart Of Bracieux!!!!”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

We stayed in Chambord for a week and had a hard time getting a reservation at this restaurant. It was always full. The night we finally were able to get in, we were the only English speakers there and most of the patrons were known by the wait staff. The decor is a bit dismal, but they had lots of fresh flowers to liven things up.

The menu was very inventive, with many game dishes, since it was hunting season in France. The food was delicious and very creative. Even with a completely full restaurant, the wait staff was very attentive and our wine glasses were always kept full. With all the hustle and bustle and the clinking of glasses it made for a very fun evening.

Since we are in this area at least once a year, we'll definitely be back. I think the next time we'll make our reservations from the States before we go, so we don't get shut out.

“our favourite regional restaurant”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

For this restaurant you will need a reservation because it is almost always fully booked. Didier is an excellent cook with many perfect classics on the menu. Their gourmet menu for 29 euros (starter, main course, dessert) is an excellent value for money. In summer time they have a terrace in their court yard. If I had to mention one negative: the interior decor is not very nice.

“I will remember the refinement of this gem on the road from Romorantin-Lathenay to Chambord one Sunday lunch in September 2012.”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

From the amuses bouches to the riz au lait to the extensive and top quality Loire valley wine list, including demi-botteilles, this was an unexpected treat even with the preparation of a Michelin red smiley face. Sunday lunch on the patio under a spreading beech tree on a fine day was hard to beat. The cream of cauliflour soup, the creme de moules, and the quail plat were excellent. Service was extremely polite and attentive without intruding. Highly and enthusiastically recommended! Very reasonable. Yannick Aleno's new Paris bistro?--I'd come here instead!
