Set amongst the lovely Bluestone Lane vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula, this restaurant is worth a visit. Great service and first class food made for a very enjoyable lunch. We started in the wine cellar for a tasting, always a great idea so one can decide what to accompany lunch with. Grant was like a one arm paper hanger, he looked after 3 small groups with a knowledgeable and professional manner as he took us through the entire portfolio! No charge for this tasting and lots of interesting facts about the wines to be learnt. The best picks for us were the Pinot Grigio, and the Pinot Meunier - normally found only in Champagne, a red varietal similar to Pinot Noir, like a smaller cousin really, delicate, floral, just wonderful! We finished with a dessert Pinot Noir which was so good we bought a few bottles to take away for a rainy day. The restaurant is open and modern, with full views out onto the vineyards. Service was attentive and friendly. They try and source locally grown organic veges, and local Wagu beef - 3 of us went for this option and we were rewarded with great flavours and presentation. The chef is also the owner and happy to chat at the end of the meal which is always nice. We will certainly be back one day soon.
