This is a budget hotel. Very close to the JR Osaki station (on the Yamanote (loop) line).
The surroundings of the hotel is mainly business buildings.
As tourists you have to travel with the JR line before you get to the more interesting areas of Tokyo.
It is a very Japanse hotel. There are not a lot of facilities. The rooms are ok but outdated and the carpet has a lot of stains. The beds are perfect.

This hotel minutes from the Osaki train station on the Yamonote line. I didn't investigate any sights near the hotel, but I appreciated being able to travel anywhere in Tokyo quickly. The hotel is satisfactory, with the room being a little worn. The hotel staff were always very helpful, with varying levels of English. Service was always good. The hotel buffet breakfast was a mixture of Western and Japanese foods. The quality and quantity was very good.

I made the mistake not to check well and instead of the New Otani, which is very good, I made theonline booking for this replica in Osaki. The rooms are rather 1 star, for the tv - simple normal tv - they charge 1000 yen. The location is a joke when you have to do go to Marunouchi or Akasaka for business. Even though I asked for a change of location, they said it is not possible as booked in advance even though both hotels belong. I told that I would gladly pay the difference, but was denied. My worst stay so far in Japan, I can recommend for the price aked so many better hotels.. They have mostly smoking rooms and one thing, they have this 70 old school radio clock in the middle of the twin beds that were so loud , one could not sleep. Bath facilities were not really cleaned, there had been some body hairs not removed. Otherwise fantastic.

We stayed here during our November '10 trip to Toyko. It was a comfortable stay as the rooms were neat, tidy and clean. But the size was small, a bit cramp. Most things are chargeable, everything inside the room's refrigerator was chargeable with price tags displayed, as the refrigerator was small and filled with the hotel items, there was no room left to put our own fruits or drinks. Internet access was also chargeable. The hotel's breakfast was decent and had a good spread of food. The location is very convenient as it's right in front of the train station. There were a lot of places to find food around this hotel. The staff were helpful with giving directions and maps.

I was quite happy with the hotel. The room is small, but big enough to not feel claustrophobic :).

The bed was comfortable, shower had good water pressure and temperature.

There's a few food courts around where you can easily get a meal for under 1000 yen

It's close to Osaki station so if your coming in from Narita on the JR NEX you get off at Shinagawa and 1 stop to Osaki. Makes travel around Tokyo on your JR pass easy. Trains to Kyoto leave from Shinagawa as well so that's a bonus if you're going or coming from Kyoto.

All in all I was happy with my stay at the hotel. I suppose I preferred staying in Shinjuku more, but that was more so on the weekend.

Everything there is ok. Only thing is that you've to pay for internet access and it's rather expensive. I stayed at a equal-star hotel in Kyoto and internet's free!!! I paid 700 yen for 12mins and this was 2 times the money I paid on 2 long distance call at the Kyoto hotel!!

Front desk not exactly friendly....

Otherwise, location is good and there's quite a lot of eat at the connecting malls. Overall, value for money (if you don't use the internet. If you really have to use the internet, look for a starbucks with free wi-fi)

When checking in I was asked to let my ID card be photocopied, but I refused since they have no legal right to ask this. They were very pushy about this, but I continued to refuse, since I told them I was paying the bill in advance, but even that could not satisfy them. I never had this experience at a hotel in Japan, not even in Tokyo, which I visit once or twice a month. The staff is unexperienced and not really pleasant. This is not a cultural misunderstanding, since I speak Japanese fluently and have been living in Japan for 18 years.
Now about the room:
1. Only very small place in fridge for guest's food items: very uncommon in Japan.
2. Apart from desk and chair no other chair or sofa, even though space allowed it.
3. Tea spots on the wall: cleaning is usually done better at Japanese hotels.
4. Windows can not be opened, so not fresh air can enter, except via the internal system.
5. Room looked a little run down. It was definitely not the room promised to me at reservation via Internet.
6. There seemed to be no English programs on the TV, even though promised by the TV guide.
The good points of the place:
1. Near the station.
2. Less than 10 min. walk from a public swimming pool (if you know how to find it).
I do not recommend this place, and I will never stay here again. There is better value to be had for the money.
