Location: around 5-8 min walk to Tokyo monorail station, so it's great for an early flight out of Haneda. Not much food choice late at night (past 10 pm). 7-11 convenience store is really close, and a supermarket is within 5 min walk.
Rooms: rather spartan, but good air conditioning and OK beds. Can be loud if some drunk Japanese business men talk loudly on the outside, but they go to sleep at around midnight.
Staff efficient as usual. One small free sauna room, no onsen. Breakfast can get really busy, and choices very limited (mostly Japanese), nevertheless flavor OK. The hotel provides free scheduled shuttle to Shinagawa station.

This is my second time staying at this hotel when i visited tokyo. Really like this hotel as it is worth the price and it even provided free breakfast everyday. The other reason why i like this hotel is because it is near train station which is the Tennōzu Isle Station and Shinagawa JR station which the hotel will provide the shuttle bus to. Although the room is smaller than expected , but overall really like their services and feel that it is really worth the price.

It is a Toyoko Inn so you must know you're not in a luxury hotel. I really like their concept and this hotel especially was really well located if you have to fly from Haneda Airport. I love the shuttle to Shinagawa Station and breakfast is fine (go early because we found many groups of Chinese tourists and they leave nothing in the breakfast buffet).
Room was really clean but I was very disappointed with front desk staff rudeness and unfriendly attitude, not typical of Toyoko Inn and of Japan in general, a country I love.
Front Desk English language knowledge is unacceptable for a hotel.

We used to stay in this hotel when we traveled to Japan for its location near to Shinagawa JR Station and the reasonable price levels. Rooms were a bit small but this was common in busy cities especially in Japan, however they were tidy and clean with utilities adequate for business lodgers. Food for breakfast nice with good choices provided. Front desk staffs helpful and efficient, good at communication in English as well. Would definitely stay in hotels again in the future when we travel to Japan.

Room tip: Rooms at higher level

Our first time to Japan so initially surprised at how small the room was, but as we travelled around the country realised that this was normal. Our room was on a non-smoking floor which was great as smoking is allowed in some of the rooms. The bathroom was tiny and working out the buttons in the toilet was a bit of a challenge as there was no English translation.

The hotel was well located with an easy walk to both the metro and a local train station. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to Shinagawa station, which is also walkable if you feel so inclined. Beautiful walks along the river.

As others reviewers have mentioned, breakfast and dinner at the hotel areJapanese style. However, just a short walk from the hotel are plenty of restaurants, Japanese, Chinese and Italian, plus a Starbucks and a 7-11 store which sells sandwiches, bread, salads and ready made meals.
