We had all four of our little ones attend a three day Lil Farmer Camp this August. It was very well received by our kids. They are still talking about it 2 weeks (and many adventures) later. The kids learned some, did some basic crafts and had lots of interaction with the animals. We will be coming again next year!

what a fantastic place to spend some of your day. Our granddaughters have attended both horseback riding and little farmer camps there and love them. Riding camps are filled with riding, grooming, learning all about horses. We have found a great balance too of kids that have never been on a horse and those more experienced riders. The little farmer camp has lots of barnyard time. They get to help with the daily feeding and general caring for the farm animals. They will get to learn lots of fun facts about the different animals. Both camps have crafts and games that the kids love and then end the camp session with a trail ride.

The farm also has birthday parties and seasonal events that you can take part in.
It is a family based business and is so much fun for kids and adults. Even if you can't go for camp, a party or your own personal trail ride go and just enjoy the farmyard. Take part in milking and feeding the goats, try and collect eggs, seeing the baby chicks, pigs or the bunnies. Or, you may want to stay for the end of the day and help feed the calf. You definitely get to interact with more animals than at any other petting farm I have ever been to.

The staff are fun and really know their stuff and you can tell love the animals and the kids. They are so gentle and patient with them and it is such a joy to see. Great job to all of you out there and we will be back.

We found this farm in an attractions book, and we are glad we did! The kids got to collect freshly laid eggs from the chickens and got to help bottle feed baby goats and cows. More hands on and a wider variety of animals than you find in a petting farm in the big city. We are definitely glad we went!

I took our son on a two hour trail ride while his older sister was at the summer games in nanaimo. It was easy to find and the staff were really friendly, patient and efficient. The horses were great. They were more animated than your average trail ride mount that just plods along in a line. They responded well.
We especially enjoyed the part of the ride through the brush trail where the horses were pushing their way through berry bushes (yummy snacks if you were quick enough).
We also enjoyed wandering through the farm animals area and seeing the adorable goats and kids. One reminded us strongly of Jar-jar Binks! Even the piglets were cute!

Better than your average petting zoo - definitely can make a morning or afternoon adventure. Opportunity to milk goats, find eggs and get up close and personal with many different farm animals. Another great feature of this hobby/working farm is the staff. Friendly, informative and very good with children. The staff clearly love their work and use the opportunity to share their love of animals and working on a small farm with others. Trail Rides are worth the time with gentle horses and knowledgeable guides.
