The staff were fantastic (all British and local so you could hold a conversation with them) nothing too much trouble, room was comfortable and clean, location great for exploring gt ymouth and surrounding area food was excellent. If in area would have no qualms about returning and staying at this hotel again.

Only downside was hotel in process of ongoing refurbishment so parts do look tired but all bearable

We have never stayed at the hotel, but hope to book a couple of nights during the summer as it is so nice. We had coffee and cake and sat outside on the terrace enjoying the amazing views. Staff friendly and loos spotless

Much better than the 3 star rating it has, room was very nice, hotel was superb and food was fantastic, we will deffinatley be going agian, the staff couldn't be more friendly if they tried and they were also very very helpfull, lovely location with seated area beyond the bar with a lovely sea veiw, only one down point was that the drinks were quite expensive

Room Tip: Pic a room with a shower as they are the best showers i have seen on all my trips

We had stayed here before the refurbishment so were interested to see what had been done. Unfortunately in the first room we were given the shower didn't work as the plumber had not installed it properly, the receptionist was extremely helpful and when she was unable to fix the problem moved us to another room, unfortunately the shower in that one did not work so we were moved to a third room where the shower worked but the shower head did not stay in place so I ended up kneeling under the shower. Through al this saga the receptionist was extremely patient and concerned about the inconvenience.
As the restaurant was closed we decided to visit another local restaurant and went out of the back entrance where we nearly fell down the first step as we were blinded by badly placed lights.
The company have obviously spent a lot of money trying to improve the facilities, unfortunately they do not appear to have spent it wisely.
The breakfast was up to its usual excellent standard.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel! The staff were all very helpful, polite and friendly. We had a renovated, sea view room and we were very happy with it! The Sunday carvery looked very tempting as we sat in the bar with a glass of wine and we succumbed although we had planned to just have a snack. The carvery was very tasty and good value and the meal that we had in the evening, yep, I know we were piggies, was delicious. Beer battered haddock with hand cut chips. Lovely! I would definitely recomend this hotel and we will visit again in the summer. The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in, I didn't want to leave it!

We almost always stay here on trips to visit my daughter. This visit was last minute due to the arrival of our new grandson. We rang the hotel direct and was quoted £95. At the very same time I was on their website and saw a £50 pn offer. The hotel agreed to honour the web page offer and what a bargain! Room was lovely, breakfast superb and the food and beverages in the bar excellent. The only slight issue is car parking, a space is rare so if you get it, keep it! Staff helpful and friendly and we will be back

Stayed recently for one night during a very brief visit to Great Yarmouth. The hotel is perfectly situated overlooking the sea and beside a long promenade - far nicer to be down at this end I would have thought than the centre of the town. And very easy to get to in the car - just minutes from the A12 motorway exit. The hotel is currently undergoing an extensive refurb that is nearing completion - the bedrooms are all completely redone and very modern and comfortable - the common parts are soon to follow. I'm sure the whole will look fantastic once the project is complete. We ate in the hotel both for dinner and for breakfast the following morning and both meals were really, really nice. A great menu with lots of healthy and freshly prepared options. Would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room and a sea view (at extra cost).
