I have eaten here several times over the past couple of years - generally at lunch time and once on a Sunday when traditional roast was served - very good. I stopped off here yesterday on my own on my way back home - it was chilly outside but the welcome was warm and so was the fish soup with excellent aioli parmesan & home made bread. It was nice to have a fish soup that didn't have salmon in it. I followed this with apple crumble and cream - also delicious. Well worth a visit here

Delicious fish restaurant run by a husband and wife couple. Very fresh and good choice. Puddings incredibly good too!

I've been here a few times and it never disappoints.

The table is yours for the evening, so no pressure to turn you quickly around and get the next bums on the seats.

The menu varies depending on the seasons and most of the produce is sourced locally. Last visit I had a starter of scallops and black pudding. Sounded strange but tasted great. For the main course I had a couple of steaks - top notch busting with flavour and chunky chips that were amazing - part chip, part perfect roast potato. For dessert a sticky toffee pudding that just made me want to come back for more.

It's a small operation and as far from a chain restaurant as you'd want to get. Very friendly, no music, just good company and great food.

I'm not a regular eater-out in these cash strapped times, and this place is a little more expensive than some places, but for the quality and taste it's a lot less than more high-brow establishments that cost a fortune.
