“Good value for budget traveller.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

Stayed in this hostel for 4 nights on a short trip to Tokyo with friends.
Overall we found this hostel very convenient : first, there was no curfew and reception is open 24/24. This is very convenient for late check-in and if you wanna enjoy Tokyo by night.
Rooms were small and very basic, but beds were comfortable enough.
Showers and bathrooms are very clean. Free wifi and computers free to use in the lobby.
If you want you can get breakfast for 315Yen (around 3€) which is a good value in Japan. Breakfast is just toast, jam, coffee or tea and soup but all you can eat.
Staff was very friendly, proeficient in english and ready to help with any request.
Hostel was located 10 minutes walk to Asakusa station. From there, you can connect any sightseeing point of the city by subway in maximum 30 minutes.
To find the hostel, refer to the detailed instructions they offer on their website, otherwise you will easily get lost.
Overall, it's a bit pricey for what you get, but this is Tokyo and you should not expect anything else, and this is a very convenient place so we would recommend it to any budget travellers.

Beds were comfortable (and had a privacy curtain), bathrooms were clean. Rooms were small but is to be expected. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to others. Literally around the corner from Sensoji temple and other main points of interest in Asakusa.

This is a good value with a great location. The only complaint is the room was rather cramped. We had to sleep with our suitcases on the end of the beds. There was six of us sharing a room with three bunk beds. It was pretty tight but like I say the location and the price made it worth it.

I stayed here for 4 nights after deciding to stay on in Tokyo following a business trip (i couldn't afford to stay in the expensive hotel in Ginza if I was paying!), and thought that the hostel offered great services and facilities for an extremely reasonable price - it was by far the cheapest of any hostel around. Rooms and communal areas were very clean and staff were excellent at helping to answer any questions regarding the local area or tourist attractions. The hostel is really well located - close to commerical areas and the metro station - and is a great place to meet friends if you are travelling solo. Would definitely stay here again.

Sakura Hostel Asakusa is located in a convenient location in Asakusa. It is surrounded by fun attractions and is near local Tokyo metro shops, yet is far enough from the busiest streets to remain quiet. Helpful staff assist with check in, check out, and bag storage at any time of the day or night. Our group of five got placed together in one of the six-person shared rooms with bunk beds and small lockers. The bathrooms are bright and clean. The lounge area offers decent breakfast for a nominal fee, but the real attractions in the common area are the free WiFi, available computers, comfortable furniture, and relaxed atmosphere. While certainly not cheap (since nothing in Japan is!), any room in this hostel is more than a good bargain for the cost-conscious traveler.

This place is nice, cossy and friendly. Free Wifi, and internet services at the lobby.
Rooms are neat and tidy and toilets are very clean.
One of the best hostels I have ever been to.
Location wise is great too, walking distance to metros, and lotsa things to see all around the hostel.
They also provide apartment for montly rental!
Tip, bring your own padlock for the locker.

Room Tip: Can choose mixed dorm or male female dorm.
