Kids really enjoyed the ride, was a great transition from the temple given its only a few block walk. It was not packed, and while old, the kids really enjoyed playing on all the rides. If you are going to visit the temple with kids, its a great stop off point.

We wanted a break from eating and sightseeing so decided to drop in on this old, small amusement park. It's like a small town fair, and as two adults with no kids we had some laughs. You pay and admission fee and then have it get ride tickets as well. We did 4 rides. They were ok. The best was the 'surprise house' which terrified us and made the whole stop worth it. If you want to be a big kid, it's worth a stop, but if not then it's best to pass.

It's like walking into a time warp. The place has not changed for 30 years, I thought modern kids brought up on Ipads etc would turn their noses up here, but our 7 year old loved it, has the old shooting range where you can win cigarette sweets!

House of horror ride was so bad but scared the daylights out of the kid.

One of the monorail rides you have pedal yourself.

You need to pay an entrance fee and then pay for each ride via a ticket system.

After the crazy queues from Disneyland it was great just to be able to walk onto a ride.

If you want to see down to earth japanese families enjoying themselves, plus it's something different. It's worth taking a trip here after the temple visit.

Not worth making a trek just to see it though.

This amusement park is small but please do not forget that size doesn't matter. The good things about being small is it's suits your kids. Children can enjoy most of the rides. Each one doesn't take long time on the ride (so parents don't have to wait for a long time) effecting the short queue and quick turnover. My kids (7 and 11) love all the ride. Location is not so difficult to find, you may go straight in to Asakusa Shrine's premise and look on your left hand side, there will be a gate leading to Hanayashiki. All rides are not new but seems to be very well taken care of.

Good for small kids, don't bother if your an adult. The ride selection is average at best. I would not take my kids here.
