We stayed at Agora Place for 10 days in January. The hotel is very well located with Tawaramachi station just around the corner and a family mart and 7/11 just down the road. The hotel had free wifi which was great although at times it was very spotty and we would have to walk around the hotel until it would connect. The bed was very comfortable except for the pillows which were very hard. I had to sleep with my neck pillow from the plane instead. The room was very small but cosy and enough room for two people. The room was cleaned every day with new soap, toilet paper, clean towels etc which was very nice. The tv was all in Japanese but was still very entertaining! We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend this hotel to couples and business people. Perhaps not families as there is very little room for kids.

Location is excellent, just around the corner from Tawaramachi subway stop - try to remember it, because you may not notice the hotel building even if you stand in front of it. Asakusa station (some trains from Narita airport stop there) is about 10 min away.

They were having 40% off sale on Agoda, so twin room was about 60 eur - excellent price.
This seems to be some kind of budget hotel - there wasn't even any soap in the bathroom (luckily at least toilet paper was provided), everything "extra" has to be purchased separately. On the other hand, kettle and small fridge was included. Wifi connection was rather spotty.

Room rather small, no place to store luggage. Comfy beds. Bathroom was really small, but clean and perfectly acceptable. No buffet breakfast available, so I grab something to eat in 7/11 store just few steps away.

I didn't find the staff to be particulary welcoming, but I didn't care for it that much. Overall, very good price/value ratio.

Agora Place was the best-priced for its convenience, amenity and lodging. The hotel is newly remodeled with a very sleek and stylish, modern decor. The rooms are small but we have stayed in smaller hotel rooms in Tokyo. i love their "Style My Stay" program where if your room is missing basic items that you'd like to have (i.e., robe, sandals, blow drier), you can always rent it. I think it cuts down the cost and I won't need to pay for anything I don't need.

The location of the hotel is very central to all the rail stations. There are convenience stores (Family Mart and 7-11) within a stone's throw. There is a cute breakfast bar turns into watering hole after dark right beside the lobby. Staff were very polite and knows English well. They are extremely helpful. Someone wrote a review about pillows being hard. This isn't the case for us. The Beds are EXTREMELY comfortable with Down comforters. The pillows were ALSO extremely comfortable....more Hilton-style pillows, really.

We booked this through agoda.com and the only downside is that details of how to get to the hotel were nowhere to be found. We rode public transport all the way from Narita and in frustration, ended up getting a cab when we were hopelessly lost in Asakusa. That was more an agoda suggestion that the hotel. Needless to say, this hotel gets a 5-STAR!

The rooms are shoeboxes, but for the price they were asking (we paid $49/night for 19 nights), it was an absolute steal. And really, what hotel room in Tokyo isn't small? The hotel was recently refurbished, and it shows. Need something? If you can't rent it or buy it at the concierge, there's a 7-11 and a Family Mart both less than a minutes walk south.

The neighborhood is quaint, close to major transportation centers, near a post office for sending packages home easily. Convenience stores and restaurants within minutes on foot. Ueno Park, Sensoji Temple and Tokyo Sky Tree are a couple short hops on the subway, whose entrance is practically outside the hotel door.

Staff are friendly and competent with English. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi was a little spotty at times, but at least they have a public terminal available for use in the lobby.

Highly recommended for the budget traveler, or anyone who doesn't mind small spaces. P.S. Try to find Lemon Pie, a confectionery just down the alley outside the main door, two blocks west. It's cute, and worth the visit.

Lovely location and helpful staff. The wardrobe is about 6 inches wide, and we did end up having to step over our bags quite a lot, but the rooms were clean and the bed, although small for my 6 foot 3 boyfriend, was extremely comfortable. Would recommend for the location and excellent value for money
