A very old zoo but with 2 cuddly panda bears! Even saw their antics while feeding which were really cute.

We all knew Tokyo have a lot to offer. if your kids sick of doing countless shopping.
this is a great place to visit. half day trip should be plenty.
reasonable entrance fee 600yen.
a lot of people when we visited. but still plenty of room to move around.
interesting Zoo animal shape bun/food.
zoo divided into two area. plenty to see.
Children Farm Zoo also worth to stopping by.

“Great City Zoo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

Great Zoo in the middle of the city. We spent a few hours there as the zoo is quite big and spaced out. There is a monorail to travel round the zoo but you don't really need to use it. The enclosures varied from very good to pretty poor. There were a lot of kids banging on the glass and shouting in the reptile & amphibian house which wasn't great. Nice to see some Giant Pandas too :)

“I love the zoo!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

Woo hoo!
So many many different animals here! We did not have a kids but this was a really good choice for adults also.
We took a lot of pictures with those animals.
I could see the real panda. Aw, they were so cute. I wished I could hug them tight.
THe zoo was quite large but there were several seating under the tree and shade.
Some places were smell. The entrance fee was rather cheap.
I love this place.

“Great zoo, extremely well priced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013 via mobile

Had a wonderful time at the zoo back in September, some great animals that not seen anywhere else including aye ayes, polar bear, hippos and of course the giant Pandas, plenty of space to get around the zoo as well as places to sit and get in the shade when the heat is smothering Tokyo.

Do get a map - several languages available at the entrance otherwise you will miss things.

The monorail is a little useless for the distance it covers and the speed.

Helpful hint: view the giant pandas later in the day (early afternoon) the keepers feed them the bamboo near the front of the enclosure so you will get a much better view, if you go early morning they will probably still be sleeping near the back.
