PROs:
It's cheap.
The location is quite good.
Capsules are big enough to keep your luggage inside.
It has ladies floors.

CONs:
It smells terribly of cigarette smoke as people smoke in the capsules (officially no smoking, though).
There is almost zero air ventilation of the capsules. Expect to wake up in your own humid steam in the morning. Add to that the smoke, and it's really disgusting.
Capsules are old, smelly and only have a tiny old TV and a crappy locker inside. No power outlet.

So:
If you want a cheap bed, there are cheaper options, even in this area.
If you want to try a capsule, go somewhere else to make it a nice experience.
Avoid if you can.

Yikes! I stayed in the Green Plaza previously (male only) and wanted my female friend to have a chance to stay in a capsule hotel. But this place was GRIM. Grimy, old, seedy, and with people smoking in the dorms. The type of place you'd need a shower after the shower. Zero atmosphere. Skip the "experience". It was okay for one night but I didn't mind at all having to check out by 9 (or it might have been 9.30). Good location though.

If you're a solo traveler looking for a cheap room in Tokyo, this is the way to do it. There are few capsule hotels that allow females, and this one has an all-female floor! It's in the Asakusa area, which is an interesting and historic area of Tokyo. Remember, Tokyo addresses are a little difficult to find, so be sure to print out the map of this place. I stayed here for a night after getting into Tokyo from overseas...it was the perfect place to crash, and it's really quiet. And don't forget the parts you're really interested in...it was definitely unique, and more importantly, it was cheap!! The showers are on a different floor, and they are communal (single-sex only, of course). Also, the staff doesn't speak English, so read instructions carefully before you get there. You pay for your room through the vending machine, leave your shoes in the locker, and the guy at the front will give you a key to your capsule. Try it out...it's worth staying at least one night! PS - another piece of advice - they charge you to store bags during the day, and you have to check out each day, even if you're staying for multiple nights. So this is probably more of a novelty place to stay...

I stayed here for a night a few years ago. I booked my stay for the night of the Sumida River fireworks, so that I wouldn't have to trek all the way back to where I was staying through the hundreds of thousands of people. It turned out to be a great decision, because I was in my capsule within 20 minutes of leaving Senso-ij temple (after some night time snacks), while my friends spent more than an hour trying to get into one of many crowded trains.

This capsule hotel is steps away from Senso-ji temple. They provide a yukata in case you forget your pajamas, and have spacious lockers for you to lock your stuff in. The lockers are down the hall from the capsules, which was a bit annoying every time I wanted to get something but not a huge deal.

The front desk people were helpful, even though they didn't speak a lot of English. They had misplaced my reservation (that I'd made months in advance), but were able to accommodate me. You pay for your room through a vending machine, which seemed really interesting.

Mostly, the best part of this place was the location. The room was comfortable enough, but the blinds don't block out all the light, and are not even remotely sound tight so you can hear everything anyone outside your capsule is saying.
