The hotel couldn't be easier to get to from Narita Airport. Just get the skyliner train (Keisei line) at Narita terminal 1 (or 2,3) and take it to the end station. When leaving the station at Ueno / Keisei you are facing the hotel across a small street. the hotel is quite small and cramped. It is tired and worn, but it is clean and sufficient if you need a convenient and affordable place to stay. Affordable for Tokyo, I should say. For most places I'd say it is way overpriced, but for Tokyo it is reasonable. AC was also nice as it was very hot and humid during our visit. Didn't eat the breakfast as it didn't look appealing, and there was a Starbucks just 100m away

It's easy to get around the city from here as it is close to the Ueno train / subway station

The hotel is conveniently located across the road from Ueno station, Ueno Park, the zoo and markets.
The staff are very frindly and helpful.
All of this does not compensate for the old and tired decor and generally run down condition of the accomodation. The beds are old, hard and uncomfortable, the rooms very small and dingy, the bathroom is claustrophobic and have been poorly maintained.
Understandably, due to the close proximity to train station and park there is a lot of noise and traffic.
I would not choose to stay here again.

This hotel is a good basic hotel, its clean and slightly on the small side. The location is great as its across the road from Ueno park. The only downfall is the stench of people smoking which we got a whiff of in our room.

Quite a basic hotel, at the start of a tour round Japan, and subsequently we stayed in some much nicer places. Room was so so, served a purpose, but dont expect any frills as is it just that basic. Good location right opposite exit from Ueno station.

The great virtue of this hotel is its location, literally less than a minute from Keisei Ueno Station for the Skyliner to Narita Airport. Several breakfast options are available before or after a morning stroll around Ueno Park.
