While I'm not so cranky about a place to sleep (other than has to be very clean), I got a mixed feelings of this hotel.
Good:
1. Good value, I booked a room for 3, stayed 4 nights, about USD 200/person.
2. Relatively clean.
3. Friendly and quick to assist staffs; this is Japan, what more do you expect? :)
4. Close to Ikebukuro station; JR and subway, ready to transport you all over Tokyo
5. Good bakery shop; I miss the canales so much
6. Close to convi store and common eating places
7. There are 3 shopping malls inside Ikebukuro sta., where you can find everything
8. Airport limo from/to Haneda and Narita stops here
Not so good:
1. Kind of old; while it's well kept, somehow I think they need a facelift
2. Room is too small for 3; I'm familiar with Japanese hotels, but still I think it's too small
3. Ikebukuro surrounding; many young males around, which somehow brought me uneasiness
I didn't try their breakfast but there was always long queue for buffet lunch.
It wasn't actually a bad experience but maybe next time I will try to find more alternatives.
