“Live like a local”

We loved our two bedroom apartment and the opportunity to experience Tokyo more as a local. Nishi Ogikubo is a lively but quiet neighbourhood with plenty of inexpensive eating options. While it's about five stops from Shinjuku, it's a relief as a family to be able to come 'home' after a day's sight seeing and each have some privacy and a bit of space to relax.

The apartment is terrific; décor is simple but modern and the apartment includes all conveniences, including a washing machine and two modern heaters. We didn't bother, but could have easily cooked a meal, especially when there is a large supermarket two minutes away.

Don't be deterred by the proximity of the train line; we had to listen hard to hear any trains and like most of the places we have visited in Japan, there is next to no traffic noise. We have a very quiet sleep.

We arrived at 10pm at night and were grateful to be met at the station by Makoto who pointed out some good eating options and took us on the short three minute, walk to the apartment. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in Tokyo Japan. The apartment we stayed very clean but a little bit too small...It was very convenient location as far as transportation and the eatery area very close...

“Perfect Stay in Tokyo”

We have booked this apartment for four days and we loved our stay here. The check-in was the friendliest introduction we ever had. So our contact does not only explain and showed us the appartment, furthermore he gave us several tipps for Tokyo and showed us the near area what was very helpful. The location of the apartment is in the near of a train station so it is very easy to get around in Tokyo. The apartment was very clean and comfy and is big enough for up to three people. The kitchen has everything a hungry traveller needs for cooking. I can only recommend this appartment.

“Nishi Ogikubo -Location extra bonus”

We were met at the train station by Makoto, our host which literally 2 minutes from the apartment. The apartment was perfect for our needs, very clean and had all the usual facilities with a few unexpected but appreciated extra's, e.g. ironing board, stationery. While the train track line was literally out our window, (we discovered this in the morning as we arrived at night and didn't look outside!) but the double glazing quelled any noise. Makoto was a very attentive host ensuring that we had all the information we required to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. He was alos a fountain of knowledge of things to see and do. However for us the real gem was walking around Nishi Orgi settlement itself, we discovered lots of quaint little shops and lots of good art plus craft and knick knack shops so do wander. The local food is awesome and if you want to cook in the supermarket is right on your doorstep and has a wide range of usual and interesting foods.

“A little home away from home”

The title should tell it all, the little apartment in nishi-ogikubo was very cute, cosy and comfortable. Makoto (the staff member who dealt with our accommodation) was extremely helpful and I should also mention a total crack up. He was there waiting for us at the train station at check-in & went through everything we needed to know about the apartment. I would highly recommend using some of the services available to travellers staying at the apartment especially when it comes to lugging heavy bags to Narita airport (trust me, my partner & I didn't do this & suffered because of it, my shouler was playing up).

The apartment itself was very clean, had everything we needed for our trip & A LOT of cupboard space for storing luggage & other goods. We had two friends stay with us for a week so the apartment can comfortably fit 4 adults. The ONLY thing I think the apartment needed was a few shelves in the bathroom for when I was changing clothes. The location was convenient, I would recommend spending time in neigbouring Nakano at sun boulevard for anime fans. It is right next to the train track but we slept fine (and none of us are heavy sleepers). To sum up, a very warm & welcoming apartment, I'd definitely stay there again, I'm already planning my next trip!
