Ate at Ichiran in Sinjuku with some friends. There was a line on a weeknight and waited about 20 mins to be seated. That's not bad. The ramen is good, but I've had better. The ordering and the service was easy (even for non-Japanese speakers) and the turn-over is pretty fast so it's worth the wait. Just don't expect the experience to be a laid-back meal with friends around a table as there are only counters here and everyone sits in rows and if you want to eat promptly, a large group will most likely have to break up into smaller groups.
