“nice place to see Tokyo city, and it's free!”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

went there in the afternoon as part of our short trip in Tokyo. location is really near from subway station, but you need to find correct exit. there are two tower there, south and north, with a different closing time, so you have to check it to the receptionist. you only need to queue in front of elevator, staffs there will help you to form the queue. a little inspection for your baggage, get in to the elevator, and voila, you have a free, VIP view of Tokyo city. I actually could see top of Mount Fuji from 45th floor. and it was really worth it, moreover considering that it's free. I really suggest you to make some place in your itinerary for a visit to TMG

“View of Tokyo for free”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Why pay to go to Skytree when you can get view of Tokyo for free. There are two lifts to take you to different side of the building. Try to go on clear day and see if you can spot Fuji-san

“Visit the 45th Observation Deck in the North and South Towers”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

FREE, great views. All bags and packages inspected before you are allowed to go up in the elevator. Highly recommend you go up both towers, but if you can only do one, I would choose the South Tower - just my preference.

“Awesome view-Free!”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Awesome views of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji, all for free! Why pay for Tokyo tower? We went right at sunset so we got a beautiful day and night view of the whole city. For sure worth a visit.

“well worth it”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

This is really easy to find - there is signed underground walkway from Shinjuku station - and its free! We went here in October 2012 around 10am and did not have to queue at all. As far as I can see both towers offered the same view.We had planned to go up the skytree but thought the view from here was great so didn't bother.
