“Good Value, Good Location... great Service”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

I stayed 13 days and I really found everything near the hotel... It was clean, and the service is excellent. Near from Shinjuku station, good restaurants and a lot of attractions...The best choice to know Tokyo.. if I come back to Japan I'll stay there again

Stayed in this hotel for 4nights
Location is good as it is located
In the heart of the city, all things that you need are just few minutes away, hotel service was good and everthing was ok, until my 3rd day when i discovered that my contact lenses are missing, I am 100% sure that I left it in the room coz I decided to wear specs the day before and everytime i go out from hotel i just bring my wallet with me, I reported to reception about the missing item and when I came back they just say "NO" nothing found, and thats it , I tried to find it by myself but i just felt i'm having asthma attack after i moved the bed bcoz of dust seems like been there and never clean for a year, and to my surprise i found my own toothbrush under the bed!? I call reception again to report sad ti say nothing happened, much to my dismay the receptionist cant even explain or speak english.

Cleanliness is the least of my worries when I booked for hotels in Japan, at least that's what I thought.

Never mind the cigarette smell in the room, typical small Japan hotel rooms.

Imagine my horror when i see hair sticking out of the orange bolster, hair along the bed near the pillow area, hair on the wall of the shower area and shower curtain.

Granted the location was friendly, walking distance to Shinjuku station, around 10 minutes, and convenience stores nearby.

Definitely not returning to this place.

To fellow travelers, if you are not concerned with the hair affair like I am, price on weekend was decent at SGD 90 and location friendly.

Arrived in extremely hot weather, suited and booted and could not wait to get to the hotel! Easy access from the NEX Narita Express Train (Shinjuku, roughly an hour away (make sure to pick up a Suica card together with the NEX Narita Express ticket, it is a top-up card for the Tokyo Metro, and also doubles up as a payment option in corner shops for water bottles etc instead of coins).
The hotel is a standard Japanese hotel affair. Cubicle style with the typical bathroom units, easy to clean and minimum upkeep, I suppose. We had to wait for our room a few hours, but were offered to change in the Meeting room facilities. There is a switch for the tap to activate the shower in the small bathroom. Claustrophobic guests should choose a Western brand hotel and foot the bill (easy 200-450 £ a night) or enjoy the Japanese hospitality in these smaller, domestic hotel chains! A couple of gay bars around the corner and and easy access to Shinjuku's hustle and bustle, department stores, cafes, restaurants. Tokyo is an amazing place. Air condition is very effective. Nice staff. Learn some Japanese phrases, there is a language barrier for most activities in Japan!
While we waited for room key cards we went to have a look around the Botanical Gardens nearby and enjoyed lunch in a restaurant nearby.

Room Tip: Would imagine all rooms are pretty much the same. Booked a 'small double' on the jalanet web...

You get what you paid for! Tight small room with no where to move inside the room especially if you have luggage! The bathrooms are moulded so they are the same everywhere! Strange thing is the bathroom taps are outside the shower space which create a mess trying to get the water temp right! Best thing is the toilet!! TV is OLD with no English channels.

My friend and I stayed there for 3 nights. Location is quite nice - just 10 mins away from the Shinjuku station, very easy to access to travel NEX from Narita airport or, just 5 mins away from the metro station Shinjuku-sanchome station. Room is clean, though there are very limited non-smoking room in the hotel. However, when we requested to change another room with less smell of smoke, staff showed us different room and changed. Convenient location to enjoy different japanese food in the area. though it's a budget hotel, but money worths!

Room Tip: Lan cable is provided free of charge for all rooms, it is highly recommended to bring along a travel...

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. All my requests were granted. A triple room is a rarity in Japan and it was a good thing that this hotel had one. We got a triple room with 3 single beds and there is still enough space to move in the room. It was clean and the whole area felt safe. Even if they close the doors at 2-6am, you can ask them to open it for you if you need to come in or go out during that time. The hotel is about 2 kilometers from the shopping area. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Send an email to the hotel before you reserve to see if they can accommodate your requests. and almo...
